Thread: No water for anyone

I am moving out mid month from the place I rent. My son had moved in and since he doesn't have a room he's been living in the basement(unfinished) which is illegal due to Window size. This is why I'm moving. Anyway our tub faucet started leaking a few days ago and has rapidly progressed into a steady stream but I didn't want them to come in because of my son. They called to show the place to prospective tenants so I decided to turn the water off rather than explain why it wasn't fixed. Turns out I turned off the water for the entire row of townhouses and they were all calling to complain. Embarrassing you say!

oops! Honest mistake! Now they'll know to put a sign saying it controls all the town houses.
Good luck on your upcoming move.

We had this happen last year the unit at the end ending up shutting off all our water for the day. We weren't happy but it happens, it has not been marked so it does not happen again.
Good Luck in your move.2022 is going to be my year, the year I find organization in my life and the year I focus on myself,

Happy to hear your moving, and I hope they get the water fixed for everyone else. It may have been better if you had called them to come and fix the pipe, then just pushed your sons stuff to one side and said you were storing it. Not only does the drip, then constant flow waste a ton of water, but the dampness could cause mold, in turn making someone ill. And, ruin the place your living in. The next tenants will have to deal with a mess that should have been dealt with long ago.
I'm very happy that your able to get a place where your son doesn't need to be in the unfinished basement, but please, get that looked after, if it's not already done.We all need a little sunshine every now and then
