I love this idea for special desserts, especially with Christmas on the way. I'd prob start on a smaller scale thou like a small dessert bowl, ramekin , etc

Dunkaroo Dip:

1 box funfetti cake mix (DO NOT add the ingredients that you usually would to actually make the cake - you need just the mix)
2 cups plain yogurt
1/2 container of cool whip.
Serve with animal crackers or graham crackers

When decorating sugar cookies, I swear to heaven, you'd think piping and filling makes nicer cookies but unless you're really good at it, DON'T. Dip the darn things instead, just place their surfaces onto your bowl of royal icing and let the excess dribble off. Set them on wire racks to dry so that any extra icing doesn't pool and sog the cookie.

They get done twice as fast, and if you must go in with little details after they start to set with piping, then do that. It took me 45 minutes to do a dozen candy canes piped and they looked like crap! And then I proceeded to do another 50 cookies in another 30ish minutes with the dip method, plus then I pressed the slightly-setting iced tops down into sugar sprinkles and they look fabulous.
