Thread: Halloween schhol party ideas?
-
Mon, Oct 27th, 2014, 01:49 PM #1
I'm looking for some ideas of a halloween themed treat for dd to bring to her school halloween party.
She hates sugar cookies, cupcakes for 30 kids are too hard for her to get there without having them tip over by herself, she can't bring anything with nuts or that has be cut.
I'm looking for something that will be fairly quick to make(2 hrs at the most), or something I can do in steps(bake one night and freeze until I'm ready to decorate). This thread is currently associated with: N/A

For Hallowe'en cookies, I always make these soft gingerbread cookies - yummier than sugar cookies, but not a strong taste, either.
Soft gingerbread cookies - to roll and cut shapes
------------------------
Cream together:
1/2 c margarine
1/2 c molasses
1/2 c sugar
Beat in 1 egg.
Add:
2 1/2 c flour
1/2 t baking soda
1 1/2 t ginger
1/2 t nutmeg
1/2 t salt
1 t baking powder
1 1/2 t cinnamon
1/4 t cloves
Mix well, roll and cut into shapes.
Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 350 degrees, about 7 minutes - depending upon size!

Cookie Bars? This one is delicious!

Plus, there's sales and coupons for jam/oatmeal/flour.
Just pre-cut into single servings
