Yesterday after I picked DD up from school we stopped by Value Village to drop some stuff off. We decided to go in and have a look around. My DD immediately headed for the dresses, and boy did she find dresses. About a dozen brand new prom and bridal style dresses, she has always wanted a Prom dress with a fitted bodice and a full (princess) skirt. She fell in love with this one and tried it on and it fit perfectly, now. She doesn't graduate until next year, so I thought maybe we should wait on the dress in case she grows. We left it and went home. Later I decided it was just to much of a good deal to pass up.(could always sell it) Then I remembered that I had a half full discount card and another car load of donations to take in. So this morning I dropped off my goods received a 30% off card and went in and grabbed the dress.( my DD is tall and thin so I wasn't to worried it would be gone) So after all was said and done I paid $31.49 for a brand new Prom dress that was originally priced at $499.00

Very nice dress. The dress colour is perfect for summer.
(I didn't know Value Village also sells new stuff. I know Talize does sell a mix of old and new).

Thanks everyone! My DD loves the dress and was so happy when she saw it hanging on her door after school. The picture really doesn't do it justice. The colour is a bit darker then it appears with an iridescent shimmer to it. Just keeping our fingers crossed it will fit next year, I'm thinking she is almost finished growing.
I find new items all the time at VV. I think some things are from stores that didn't sell or from stores that have closed and also gifts or wrong sizes that were never returned.
