$100 worth of fancy schmancy pens for $2

I saw a clearance rack for 10 cent packages of pens. They looked nice. I figure I can always use pens and as they were nice could add to gifts, give to co-workers etc. I picked out 20 packages and went to finish my shop.

I went by a scanner and thought, there is no use being surprised at the cash. They scanned at $5.17 each. Decisions. Put them back? I decided to take a picture of the display and bring it with me to the cash. I started my conversation by being upfront and said I picked out 20 of the clearance pens for 10 cents, scanned by chance and the price did not match, so I went back and took a picture. I said if the pens are 10 cents I would like them, if they are not, I do not (I decided I would request SCOP for my free package, but not purchase the others in that scenario).

After checking with the manager, the cashier informed me that they were marked incorrectly, but the manager said to give me a price adjustment for 20 pens as the advertised price was 10 cents. Both the cashier and manager congratulated me (and quickly corrected the error). All I could think of was how it was finally me in the right place at the right time and I could post a brag for you all!

Edit and Update: @goulaisgirl Each package can be logged with a special code for 1 Airmile. That means 20 Airmiles on top of the deal.
