Tara, look what you did !!!???
Now I want some cider and I have none
You know Sally is absolutely right , stay away from the powdery stuff, and go for the real thing , at the mall I'm always tempted by the aroma but when I go and ask its never the real stuff, and why buy even the mulling spices .....try this ...

I think I may be able to help you. I have become quite hooked on Tim Horton's Apple Cider.
    It really is wonderful!!!

A few days ago, I asked one of the staff if I could get the mix in a can at the grocery store since their coffee is available as such. She told me 'No', however, she too is very fond of the Apple Cider and suggested I go to The Bulk Store and get their mix. I did just that, and lo and behold, it is very, very close to Tim Horton's. It has that same robust taste and is pretty spot on. One tablespoon to a cup of boiling water and you're in business. I have yet to experiment with proportions, however, I think 1 1/2 TBSP. and a little white sugar would do the trick. You would be hard pressed to tell the difference. Hope this helps.

I actually like the powdered one, hate the real stuff. DH gets it but I find it way too strong.

I inquired at Tim Horton's about getting the cider mix at the grocery store the same as you can for the coffee. I was told it can't be done, they only sell it at Tim Horton's, however, I was told to try the cider mix from the Bulk Store, since Tim Horton's cider is also a dry mix.

Guess what-With a few tweaks, it is almost identical. I was getting large ciders, several time a day and God knows, that adds up. Since buying the mix at the Bulk Store, I rarely drink Tim's anymore.

Depending on the size of the cup, I usually add 1 1/2 Tablespoons to a cup of boiling water, add sugar and cinnamon to taste and enjoy!!

    Hope this helps.

How did I not know this?! lol

trouter123, I will have to hit up the bulk barn and see what they have! For some reason I ALWAYS forget the bulk barn when I'm looking for things.

I haven't found anything yet that I like *grrrrr* BUT I can drink coffee now that I'm off my meds so I'm not suffering TOO much lol How could your hubby NOT like apple cider? Or is it just the packaged ones he's not fond of? Thank you as well for offering to send it to me but I wouldn't want you wasting money on postage because lord knows it's darn expensive!

Maybe I should try making my own cider?
