daughter's wedding shower today

had a great wedding shower for my daughter today-28 women -i catered it -yes that was a splurge but with couponing -you can always splurge in life sometimes on other things
had 21 gifts from thru out the year and it cost me 78.00 to buy them not bad
-the menu stuffed chicken -beef wellington ,balsamic tomatoes-and roasted potatoes-yummmmm-veggie tray
-desserts were chocolate carmel cake-chocolate covered fruit from m and m's-cookies-date squares

the best part my daughter got $900 in money-240.00 in gift cards-lagostina pots and pans ,crockpot, cookie sheets, 4 sets of wine glasses-she really needed them 3 frying pans-set of drinking glasses-2 cook books-roasting pan- cookie sheets-she did great no duplicates

plus i played guess how much the regulare price was of 4 items -dish soap, toothpaste, nivea hand creme,kleenex-it was 10.20
i gave a prize to the closest -then what did i pay after coupons not including tax-which was 2.40 every one was shocked-then i asked them to guess how much i saved in one visit -large vist to walmart in coupons -41.24-they were equally shocked -so i was pretty happy to tell everyone
all in all a great day for myself and my daughter

plus dont ever rule out the dollar store - i got beautifull little candle holders for 1.25 each -little silver xmas ones with rhinestones all over them and dressed them up with netting , ribbon-small candles from zellers that smell pretty and little thankyou hearts from party pkgers for the favours for 30 women-cost about 40.00 but so pretty around a big bouquet of flowers -so they could take them home

The dollar store (specifically Dollarama) is an awesome place to find great deals.
