@22hicks , thank you for putting names to the faces of our imaginary friends! A pretty handsome group of people and it looks like you all have fun at your "Q" gatherings.
@Newfiescreech , it's a very select and elite group....not everyone gets an invitation. :rolleyes: I think they also all live close enough to each other to get together. Unlike us....sigh....but if and when YOU get to town, some of us will absolutely make our way there for a meet-up! I know I sure will! :cheesygrin:
Dinner with the kids and in-laws was wonderful, cake and prezzies back at their home, we shot some pool, and today will be a quiet day of March Madness here.

Good day folks! I typed out a long and detailed post last night only to find that it disappeared into the ether. It went from a great day to a very painful one yesterday afternoon. My hip, knee, and ankle were so painful and the only thing I could put it down to was handling suitcases. I also had a major migraine as a weather front went through. " Poor, poor, pitiful me!" as Linda Ronstad used to sing.
So I spent a long time in bed. Could hardly walk to take Sadie out. (I later found a puddle in the closet, so I guess I waited to long.) Luckily tiled floor in there.
I found that Dr. Zhivago was on - one of my favourite movies- so I whiled away the 4 hours watching that.
That Omar Sharif was a beautiful man!!! Sigh!!!!
And Julie Christie a beautiful woman! Geraldine Chaplin was very sweet as well.
I have been pressing forward today but have finally given in to another migraine and leg pain.
I want to find the GOLD in these years and the leprechauns didn't leave me any.
A busy week ahead but some good times worked in there.
I didn't get a chance to go shopping for the ingredients of that yummy cake that you sent me the recipe for, Lynn, but that's my goal for the day.
I am in a "Bracket" for March madness and made some unfortunate first choices. It seems my "underdogs" will have to go home and practise until next year.

@avoncallingu - I'm sorry you're feeling so miserable, and in such pain. Believe me, I can relate. My back & hips are really painful today, the worst they've been in months. Lots of pain killers, ice packs, and sleep. I just got up & dressed a few minutes ago. We'll see how the rest of the day goes. I hope yours gets better. Just a gentle - :hug:

Aw, @avoncallingu , I'm so sorry to hear that you're having that pain, but rest, rest, rest, Dearie...it's always the best and most difficult thing to do. I made that cake yesterday for our DD's b'day, served with raspberry coulis, fresh whipped cream and raspberries..well!! Everyone just kept gushing about the cake, how I should sell them, hahaha....I hope you have as much success as I did and do every time I make it!! Enjoy the company of your friends.
And @22hicks , gosh is it also the weather playing havoc on you, too? You did the right thing by taking it easy most of today, just keep resting; boring, but necessary.
