Ok I need some parents advice LOL Since you all r my second family (oh god I jsut admitted that).

So this manager at work comes in and screams at us night staff. Only us no other shift. If someone else doesnt do something I get blamed for it (and that I should know better) then get written up. I cant handle being treated like a 5 year old and do this or do that. She expects so much out of our shift since no other shift does anything and we have to pick up the slack. She doesnt appreciate anything we do such as last night i cleaned the ovens plus the whole kitchen and she just starts pointing out what the other guy didnt do and gets me in trouble. I consider this harrassment - we ve all gone to other managers and told them and they all just shrug it off. She keeps threatening to fire us or cut our pays (hmm sounds familiar thats right i still havent gotten paid the 200$ they owe me). She comes in every morning and yells at us (even customers have complained).

Should I just ignore her or should I go higher up. I cant stand it anymore - Im trying to get my shifts changed to afternoons but shes the one that fills out the paper work and she wont let it go thu.

I would sooo be going higher up!
you remind me why I quit my timmy's job when I was 16 I was only there for 4 months but the manager loved to pick on me for everything and wouldnt give me a day off to go to the eye doc or dentist even though the appts were booked a year in advance, my mom went in and yelled at her saying she had to either book the days off for me or I just wasnt showing and then when I showed for my shift that day I got in crap because my mom yelled at her
or the time when they called my place at 4:30am and wanted me to come in to work my dad answered the phone told them no he wasnt waking me up to ask me because I wouldnt have a way there and that I put down I could start work at 8am so why were they calling that early and he told them never call our place that early again because he had to get up at 6:30 for work and he didnt appreciate being woke up and he hung up on her...I had to work at 2 that day and I got pulled into the office and yelled at for like half an hour because my dad hung up on her and wouldnt wake me up...umm how is that my fault and I didnt even know they called and she had me almost in tears she was yelling at me so much for something that I didnt even know about because by the time I woke up dad was already at work so I had no way of knowing they called that early...
another time my dad came to pick me up and they had a no show for the next shift so they made me stay later they said I wasnt allowed to leave till someone came in to cover or that person showed and if I did leave before then I was going to be written up but my dad came in and said look its 11pm I have to go home and go to bed for work the next day I'm her ride and she is leaving now so I left LOL...I got written up for it wtf?! the way I see it is that its not my problem someone didn't show when my shift is over and my ride is there I was leaving...not like I could have walked home living as far away as we did or if I was old enough to drive myself then I would have stayed.
it just got so bad that I hated waking up and going to work when she was there because she always found something wrong with me for some reason she didnt pick on anyone but me so after 4 months I handed in my uniform and told her where she could stick the job

but seriously though other then her I liked the job and would have kept it if I got the days I needed for appts and wasnt screamed at every day for nothing

I have the next 2 nights off Im telling her the next morning that she better find responsible workings (the othe 3 are my age and do jack all) yet I get in trouble for it. So Im telling her its either them or me (which ive been there 6 yrs and the only one that can do the bake). Im going to flip my lid and see what she does. She doesnt do anything till I snap and scream at her. Like last time she jsut shrugged everything off till I flipped on her one morning and threaten to quiet (I walked out that morning). She ended up calling me and apolgizing. So thats what I plan on doing.

LOL I swear you must work here or either that my manager went there! there was one time this one really heavy girl that worked there (she was like the managers pet) she started harassing one of the heavy guys that worked there calling him a fat a$$ and that if he lost weight he could work faster etc..so he went to the manager and she took the chicks side even though everyone else backed him up that she was calling him all kinds of stuff and she was so not one to talk he was like in his 30's and had even said he had medical conditions that prevented him from losing weight and meds that made him gain weight she was like 18 and huge and she def didnt have an excuse so she was probably just trying to make herself feel better...anyway he got really pissed off at the manger started screaming at her told her to stick her job he quit and he left she called him the next day and begged him to come back because they were short staffed
