My sister is down this weekend for Woofstock and she has a pick-up truck.
As many of you have read I don't drive and have many all my PetSmart trips thus far on the subway and buses - an hour each way.
I paid my sister gas money and she agreed (after much hesitation because she doesn't drive in the city) to drive us to PetSmart.
I took 16 pro plan selects coupons but unfortunately couldn't use them all - they didn't have enough food in stock. So we grabbed (with permission from PetSmart employees) everything they had left on the shelf... which was a lot of senior dog food.
Here's my picture from today - the final batch for the shelter.
Pick-up is tomorrow (well technically today since it's after midnight) at 9:30 am.
Today's trip:
- 12 pack of Ceaser slices = FREE (won a coupon at Woofstock today)
- 12 purina pro plan cans of kitten food = FREE (save.ca coupons)
- 12 bags of purina pro plan selects dog food = $16.99 original 1/2 price because of pet perks - $7.49 coupons = $0.99 each
- bag of Beneful healthy growth puppies = FREE (another coupon from Woofstock)
Everything seen in the first picture was (with tax) $14.01.
My PetPerks savings on this trip was $180.60 and my coupon savings were $135.16 for a total savings of $315.76
124 pounds of food total!!!
- 3x 2.75 kg Pro Plan Selects puppy food
- 6x 2.75 kg Pro Plan Selects Senior
- 2x 3.63 kg Pro Plan Puppy
- 2x 1.6 kg Beneful Healthy Growth for Puppies
- 5x 2.75 kg Pro Plan Selects adult
- 2.7 kg Pro Plan puppy small breed
- 3x 2.5lb Royal Canin Yorkie
- 3lb Yorkie
Again, thank-you to everyone for helping me get these coupons.
The Pomeranian and Small Breed Rescue will put this food to good use.

I got those bags free - a printable coupon for Toronto stores was going around and valid for a couple of days.
Something else that happened in PetSmart. On my second transaction, to buy fish, there was a guy in front of me that was buying Pro Plan food (not the selects). Today at Woofstock I got a $5 off coupon for that specific food and the cashier said "Your total will be (blah, blah)" and I was raking through my coupons and just in time, before he entered his pin I said "No it won't" and handed him the $5 off coupon to use. You should have seen his face - he couldn't believe it.I'm always open to trading for pet product coupons (especially free products and high value coupons) - I donate these items to shelters and rescue groups. My motivation - My Dog. That's amazing , all that time and effort donated on your part. Great job. Do you still want any ProPlan $7.50 or busy Bones coupons from save.ca. I can order some on my account for you since I have cats, not dogs. No trade necessary I can just mail them to you. Let me know.

Looks great. Organizing and purchasing items to donate can take a lot of time and effort. Good for you.

Well the rescue volunteer picked it all up this morning bright and early. She was surprised at the amount of food - said they really need food.
Thanks again to everyone who sent or traded coupons with me.
The sale is still on so I will make a few more trips via subway/bus before the 28th.
Hopefully I can have 1 more stash to donate before I move in August. It's not a big move (literally the next building over), but I'd like to collect as much stuff as I can and have it picked up before I have to lug another 124 pounds of food in addition to all of my apartment contents.
I'll let everyone know if I hear anything else from the rescue re: the food donation.
As long as these donations continue to go well I plan to do it endlessly. I want to help dogs in need because my dog, well, let's just say there's a whole story behind him.Last edited by Dinglehopper; Sun, Jun 14th, 2009 at 06:33 PM.
