anyone having issues with finchscout?

They joined one of my trains. After sending their envie, said it had been returned for insufficient postage, and said they would mail it out again. I didn't think much of this as CP is erratic at the best of times, so they were given the benefit of the doubt.

I contacted another conductor who had finchscout on their train, and they too had the same issue, and were (as of last time I talked to them) waiting for their envie. The train has since gone on without them, as I didn't want to keep all the other riders waiting.

I also have a personal trade with finchscout that I am also waiting on, agreed to at the same time as the train.

They have not logged on since Nov 10, and have not replied to PMs or posting on their wall.

IIRC, she isn't great at communication, but I did get a GC from her for a bundle trade. However because of low feedback I requested she mail her end first. I hope it still turns up for you.

Did a code trade with someone that started a week agao.After several PMs back and forth we agreed on a deal and I said I would post once they PMed me the codes becausse they have just a 10(half from a train) trade rating I was not posting $55 in coupons to them first.They PMed me half the codes and said I would not get the rest till they received there end.This is not what I agreed to so I did not use the codes and PMed them back. Every code trade I have done the trader has PMed the codes first and this is especially so with a new trader.So now I sit and wait for them to log on again to read there messages for a trade that started over a week ago!!!

With your trade rating, I think it is absolutely ridiculous that they only want to send half the codes first. Do they really think you built that up to scam a new trader out of a few PINs? Seriously?

Just how slow is Canada Post you ask? Let me give you a great example!

Aidensmom10 and I agreed to trade; she would send me stamps and I would send her a ton of dove coupons. Envies were sent out approx October 15/16. Now, she is in Ontario and I'm in Saskatchewan. It took about 1.5 weeks for me to receive her envie. And, here's the kicker... she got my envie TODAY (November 17th)! Yes, a little over a MONTH after I posted it. Luckily, we both kept the lines of communication open (she's absolutely great/AWESOME trader)...But, I just wanted to relay how absolutely crazy CP is right now.

Weird thing is, I sent pinklincoln an envie, which she recieved in about a week and she lives in Ontario, too. The only thing that was different about these 2 envies was Aidensmom10's envie was dropped off at a CP outlet in SDM and Pinklincoln's envie was dropped in the red CP mailbox on my street corner.

Ughh, I personally think that CP is out to get me and Aidensmom10... LOL. We've known each other for years and years, we were trading before she joined SC. Never had problems until the postal strike.... I sent her out an envie the day after I sent out my westbound train envie. Here's the funny part... my train envie went through 6 people from BC back to SK and I received it back about 2 weeks ago... Aidensmom10 JUST received the envie I sent her a DAY later yesterday...

Many of the envies she has sent me have gone MIA. The last one she sent took almost a month to get to me as well. NOW the weird thing is that I trade with people in ontario ALL the time and usually i get their envies in about 2 weeks, where as they get mine within a week.

That is what I was thinking!!LOL!! Kinda sad IMO and they will be waiting a long time for me to post first!!! As for the pins they PMed me (with the message that they are waiting for my end) I have not used and will not as this is not what I agreed upon when I agreed with a trade.

Yah, then I send you an envie through Purolator and just pay for next day (not am) and it comes in the am. At least they love me LOL. Envies after the postal strike weren't horrible...slow but once my CP was closing, the envies I sent before the closed have totally been a big question mark. Now, most of my envies seem to be going out decently, but coming in is still slooow. That's why I'm hoping with my recent envie I complained about that it's just CP being CP

we have always has great correspondence, and right now she has not been online for just over a week. I know that she was busy with a new job, and also has a little one at home, just hoping that everything is ok with them. Usually she is online within a 48 hr time period.
Who else is waiting for her to get back to them........

Me! Contacted her on Friday 11th, she replied on the same day.
She received my end on the 6th.
I never received anything, and trying to recontact her for a whole week now.
This sucks they were HV coupons that I could have trade for much more, but choose to do it locally.

I would wait a little longer...just had a train declared derailed...after a month for it to travel a few blocks. I am finding lots of rider are not posting when the receive/send the trains..especially if they are the last people.

IMO..wait two weeks, and if no contact/reponse from PM's than a rating is given...But..this is just my opinion.

I am also noticing that getting train riders to follow the rules has become more difficult, the two biggest issues are
a) Posting the in/out amounts & dates (or even posting at all)
b) Providing feedback when you have received the train without having to be asked multiple times

The other one is the coupons itself - not following the multiples of coupons request & adding a number of the same coupons to the envelope without checking to make sure that there aren't already multiples of that same one.

Original trade was agreeded upon around Oct 22......... now a month ago!!
last communications I had from her was Oct 27th...........
she was telling me how I reminded her of her own grand mother with my off the wall sense of humour and style of communications..........
