Misstarbender has been MIA since September 2nd.
My train that shes on left the rider before her on Aug 28, realisticly should have made it by now.
She's on many trains as well as conducting her own.
According to another rider, she logs onto facebook daily, but does not respond to messages/pms, etc etc.

Hoping she comes back to SC again because i'm getting really fed up with people distrupting my trains.
I certainly hope this isnt the case with her, but it always seems there's one person who messes it up for everyone else!

I'm on her "going back to work in 2 weeks traditional train." There are 4 car (with 6 people per car), and the trains were mailed by misstarbender on August 30th. However, not one of the first riders have received an envie. I hope it's just CP, and they're still coming.

I know Misstarbender has a lot of things going on right now in her personal life! I am 99.99% sure that she would not purposely hold up/derail or steal trains/trades!

Yes, I realize too what she has been going through. I'm hoping that her and her girls are okay, and that it's just CP.

I understand but if she logs on facebook everyday and posts about stuff, youd think she could check and respond to messages no?

Really don't know what to do - Alexa222 pm'd me finally on Sept 11th saying they have been really sick, that they received my end of the trade but didn't leave a feedback and asked if I received the gift card - to which I still have not and have not heard back from them

so how long are we to wait to leave a negative?

It is up to the individual trader, they can always be removed later and alert other traders to issues. If they are not in contact, earlier than later

julesie, many people who disappear with people's trades have stuff going on. I do hope she is ok and know she has issues which is why she is only redlisted for now to give her a chance to fix it, but people have messaged her on here and facebook which she is active on and she ignored them. That doesn't look like the actions of someone where CP just is slow etc

No kidding! I am surprised people are trading for such large GC's. My personal rule is to manage my risk by trading for GC's in the $5 range. On two occasions I have traded for up to $10 but only with traders with whom I have traded many times before. It would hurt way too much to lose $30 to $50, so I just won't go there....

Yup ..never do a trade so high for GC , not worth it .

I personally Will never do a trade for greater than $10 for GC , so if someone scams me ( which they might ) ..atleast I can absorb the loss as its relatively small.

I know CAnada Post has problems , but I would leave a negative rating if it doesn't show up after 2 weeks, it can always be changed if it does arrive.

In 99 % of the cases if you haven't received something in 2 weeks the chances are you have been scammed and it will never show up...or it was mailed but was mailed really late and the mailer lied about the original mailing date so it will still show up eventually

Inspite of its delays and lost mail etc , CP is extremely reliable and gets way less credit than it should..usually you don't get it because you were scammed and not due to CP...or get it really late as it was mailed really late.

Two weeks is not long enough to say someone is probably a scammer if they are in touch with you. In the cases where they disappear off the site, that is different but mail, especially within Ontario can take an insane amount of time.

Even at work, I am still receiving mail postmarked in early August. One letter from the building that faces ours took 20 days to get to us.

CP is strange for all sorts of mail. My insurance broker is out in Smiths Falls which is about 55 to 60kms away from me, and every year they send two letters to me, one contains my renewal information with slips, and the other is a letter letting me know that it is up for automatic renewal.

The letter telling me about the renewal is sent in December, and the renewal info with new slips is sent in January. I get the second mailing within a week of the postmark date, and the first letter doesn't arrive until nearly February.....

2 weeks is just not enough time to give for a trade; if everyone gives a trader a negative after 2 weeks, FP will end up spending an insane amount of time having to remove negative ratings, or trying to follow up with people who gave a negative to verify if they ended up receiving the trade after all; I'm pretty sure she has enough to do already without adding that to the platter.
