The thing is with high ratings (and this is from experience) SOME traders get them from hosting trains all the time so it doesn't make them reliable in terms of actual trades. I had a trade go awry with a trader who had 100+ rating but only had 2 FBs due to trades, the rest were from train hosting. I only had a rating of 3 at the time so I didnt leave a neg FB but she deserved it.

She has logged on several times this past week and this week now, but I have recieved nothing from her. No message to say anything.
She has a 0 trade rating, did you mention you had traded with her before?
Anyhoo, she was on as recent as yesterday, so I really don't know what to do.
LOL Hinky! I use that word SO much my DH hates it! I love it though!Always looking for Kellogg's FPC & Playtex Vouchers

If she has a 0 trade rating and has been on, I would leave a negative so people know not to trade with her, it can always be changed to neutral or positive later if you work it out

I have but now that you mention it... she PMd me last week asking if I'd received her envy but I haven't... Hmmmm
Heck, I've sent out so many envies past week I can't remember what I traded her for. (oh the hell of digging through PMs LOL)
I'll do a little research and get back to you. I don't remember how long ago this was. But like Pix said... if you aren't hearing from her, leave a neg rating. It can always be changed after the fact if you get the envy or if she comes up with a sob story for why it wasn't sent that you find credible.
Personally, I couldn't care less what your story is unless you're in a position where you can't communicate. Something happens... let me know, do NOT hide from me. That's your first indicator something's up.

Thanks, much appreciated. Yes, her envie was sent out from me on the 5th of Oct. She should have recieved it, and I asked her if she has or not, but she will not respond (clearly to me only).
I will go ahead and leave a neg. after todays mail comes and see.
I feel so bad though for doing so, but I don't want anyone else to have to deal with this if that is what she is doing.
I can always retract it right?Always looking for Kellogg's FPC & Playtex Vouchers

Please do leave a negative rating if you have waited that long and have no response to your PMs.The rating can always be changed if things work out.

It looks like she went on a trading rampage on the 3rd LOL. Maybe she got overwhelmed and lost track but it's not an excuse. She should communicate and let people know what's going on. I'd understand if she was overwhelmed by a few trades when it's the 1st time BUT I'd walk her through making it up to me
You aren't the only one looking for her end of a trade. I'm going to give it 48hrs for a response and if nothing comes in and she's been online, I will follow suit with the rating.
No need to feel bad. You honored your end no? Well there ya go luv... no need for anyone else to go through this fo rno reason.

IDEA: Leave a positive but with DETAILS as clues to others. Other SCers can always PM you to ask about what you meant.
Sometimes you can tell something funky is going on. In my case I traded a rare & HV coupon for >5 FPCs. Surprise, they never came. I waited 3 months which was when they were supposed to start expiring. I got a song and dance about how CP regularly steals her mail and that's why I never received my end. She said it was not her responsibility to replace and claimed that was an SC policy. She said she would negotiate something out of the goodness of her heart (or something like that) but wouldn't come close to meeting anything I was looking for and no where near the #FPCs (which I didn't expect a complete replacement even). In the end, I got 2 X $5 coupons + a bunch of stuff she wanted to send me that I didn't want. By that point I figured, take what you can get. When it arrived, I posted a positive trade rating with a comment that indicated "#FPCs never arrived. Was replaced with other coupons" I hope others would ask me what that meant or get the clue . . .
Plus, she NEVER left me a positive rating!!!
Go with your gut, sometimes you just know . . . and I definitely agree that the "ignoring messages" is a big indicator. Good luck with your situations!

Leaving a positive rating means you're HAPPY with the replacement.
No one's going to ask you what you meant... first of all it's no one's business but your own. Second of all.. why the hell would we question you if you left a positive rating?
That makes no sense. bad trade = bad rating.
Why are you so afraid of leaving a neg rating to someone who deserves it?
In my book it's your resposibility to do so. if I get screwed and I find out you got screwed 1st but didn't bother to report it, I hold you partially accountable for not doing your job.

If I get a replacement and I dont think its an honest mistake, I leave a neutral because it has been fixed but it should not have gone wrong
If they communicated with me and replaced it, I leave a positive noting it was a replacement so people know they are a good trader because stuff does goes wrong
But people do not read through the actual comments, they just look for positives/negatives so if they don't deserve a positive, they should not get one. Leaving neutrals in cases like this when fixed makes others know they could potentially have problems

Not all situations are black and white. I felt like my situation was somewhere between fallenpixels neutral and positive. I didn't think either a negative or a neutral was fair in this case. I don't know why it never came, I can only suspect. She did send replacements, even though I wasn't thrilled with them.
I don't think a positive means HAPPY, I think it means satisfied (or reasonable attempts made to make the trade work out if something went wrong). I am not afraid of leaving a negative, I have had to do that in recent months to a trader with many many more trades than me. She hasn't been back, as far as I know. What might be reasonable to me may not be reasonable to the next person.
I'm surprised you say that no one reads the message to all - I know I do! Not pages and pages, but the first page to get a general idea. If she trades with someone else and it gets "lost or stolen by CP" then they will know.

The only thing they know is that the envy was LOST BY CP.
Asking people to read your innuendos is unfair and it doesn't have it's place on the rating board. If you're looking to have a "secret code" then I have to reiterate, not the place. It can be discombobulating for some as is to read these ratings and no one needs to have to sit there and try to figure out, "I wonder what she means"

Agreed. It's my understanding that the rating system is in place so that we can, for the most part, trust the numbers under people's user names, NOT so that we have to read through pages of ratings that may or may not actually be in code.
Plus for people (like myself) that are fairly new it's hard to know what is 'normal' and therefore decipher if a rating comment seems strange. All they can do is trust that a positive rating means that the trader was happy with what the results.
