The gifts that were supposed to be sent by Humptygril_06 and ILOVECOUPONSALOT haven't shown up to their recipients And when asked for tracking numbers neither person has replied.

Humptygirl is still actively logging into her account and replied to the first message I sent her in regards to the gift I sent her (I had her NAME) and she said “I mailed the package on November 19. I'm shocked that it hasn't been rec' yet. No, I haven't rec'd my package yet either.” I then replied with a message with the tracking number which stats that the gift has been received and I know that CP does make mistakes and had given Humptygirl the benefit of the doubt, but with her gift not showing up and saying mine didn’t seems a little too fishy to me. And then her not providing a tracking number or replying to my pm messages has caused me to give a negative trade rating.

I can provide my tracking number to whomever needs to see it

ILOVECOUPONSALOT hasn’t been on SC since December 21st and hasn't replied to ANY of my pm’s so I was left no choice but to leave a negative trade rating too.

If anyone needs further information please feel free to message me or ask questions on here. I just wanted to give everyone a heads up and share our experience on our Christmas Exchange as I’ve seen several Valentines Exchanges start up already and didn’t want these people to burn anymore of you guys.

ILOVECOUPONSALOT recently moved and had been without internet since just before Christmas. We visited them this weekend and they had just gotten it back up. I will let her know that her package has not been received and to log on here so she can reply.

Finally finishd up a trade with ILOVECOUPONSALOT as well. Said she mailed Nov 29 but did not get the envie until Jan 7. I understand it is hard to move and not have internet, and once we regained communication she offered to replace the mostly expired coupons that I received which was very nice of her but I needed them in December and not in January. I left a neutral rating. Should I have left positive because she offered to make it right?

NO , a neutral is fine...it was late, and unfortunately moved or not, she didn't follow through with her trades/gift exchanges...hopefully she will be ontop of things now, but I have received a few complaints and hopefully no others...if others have a trade that did not arrive please pm me.

Because some SC members encouraged me to return, I have returned to the forum and to trading, including stamp-trades. However, upon catching up with this thread this morning, not reading it since beginning of January, I feel there should be clarification.

I would like to mention that in trading coupons for stamps, there is a great deal of work that goes into collecting and preparing coupons, many hours, many weeks of time involved in getting the coupons, posting and updating a tradelist, and lengthy trade discussions. That is why I feel that receiving 1 stamp per every $5 coupons, plus one more stamp for the trader's postage is only fair. It is costing me about 10 hours of my time or more for some trades, and I am receiving only $2 - $3 worth of stamps for all that. Yes, you have to buy the stamps; as opposed to ordering, collecting, preparing and posting the coupons; but all in all, all that time and work of sending coupons out is also valuable.

In my case, I have no vehicle, am recovering from a stroke, am crippled and in chronic pain, and walk with a medical walker one mile each way to the post office to post trade envies. In the winter, it is very gruelling, because my walker's wheels are only 4 inches across, and the snow is not always ploughed. It is very hard to keep up with all the coupons, and trades, and get the envies posted to the traders same or next day, but I have always put trades first, not my comfort. It would be a lot easier to be sending stamps out than it is to be sending coupons. In the past, I have often given RAOK's of pins and coupons and Futura, but my circumstances are more difficult now, so I continue to trade fairly for coupons or stamps to help make ends meet. I am disappointed that others would reprimand me and imply that I am not generous or fair in my trades. It hurts to try so hard, and yet feel the disapproval of others, and I know how hard I work at this; it takes a good portion of each day.

This is my opinion about the subject, and I hope I will receive no more negative comments, thank-you.

    Welcome back Valient,
and you just continue to ask for what you ask if that's what you want to do...I am not trying to downplay your problems or anything but there are alot of other SC'ers who have difficulties too...some have hip problems, some have anxiety attacks, some people are confined to their homes because they are on maternity bedrest, and sometimes people are just sick with the flu and it takes extra efforts to do trades...all I am saying is that we have set guidelines and when people complain to me about traders not being fair (I am not singling you out, I am using this as a generalization) then I have to say something.
It's just like when people post about their husband's losing their jobs and not having income, etc...there is no way to verify these stories, so no one knows if what people claim is true, that's why there are rules and guidelines.
No one is picking on you .
What one thinks is fair another may not.SO if you feel that is fair to you, then others who think that is fair to them will trade with you.
No one should make you feel bad, SC is a friendly community.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with what you are doing ..trading stamps for cpns ..& your rates are extremely fair .

Yup time = money ...If i have to spend lot of time in collecting $ 50 worth of cpns & if someone else is offering me the same cpns for $ 5 - $ 6 of stamps & If I really need those cpns I would be more than happy to trade ..that person is actually doing me a favour & saving me lot of time ..all I have to do is buy/mail a booklet of stamps & wait for my cpns to arrive in mail ..instead of running around to 7-8 stores or going through various flyers looking for the same cpns .

That person is spending his/her time & doing all the leg work for me ..so I would be pretty grateful

I also agree ! on the same basis I would rather trade stamps and g.c than run around hunting down coupons while spending money on transportation with the possibility of finding ZIP and freezing my butt of at the same time

    LOL

Finding ZIP is exactly what's happening in my area .

I think there are lot of coupon hoarders or coupon meanies in my area ...I am not kidding you , I have been to 4-5 different grocery stores in my area in the last 2 weeks or so ..& literally I have not found a single coupon ..and I have looked/searched very closely in all the aisles

I usually just take 2-3 cpns from a tear pad ..but it looks like the hoarders are ripping of the entire pads & taking them with them

I guess we might as well call stores before hand & ask them if they have coupons in stock ..the way people call a store or check online to see if a product is in stock or not @ a particular store ..& ask them to put coupons on hold for you ..he he he

Sometimes it is the stores that do that, a local store morning manager thinks they look messy and if they need replenishing, does not put another pad up, the afternoon manager comes in and (being a couponer herself) refills them all
