im waiting on a few as well. I also notice people bump their trade lists then don't come online for 2 days. I've just now adopted the philosophy that if you can't bother to pm me back and say no thanks then if you pm in the future i will not respond to you either, regardless if you have many things I want.

Me too! It drives me crazy when people don't respond or take weeks to get back to you. However, sometimes when a person is trading they might receive a lot of messages and overlook some, possibly thinking they already responded or have intentions of getting back to those PM's.
I too apologize if I have not gotten back to someone who has asked me to trade.

I am glad this got bumped because I have had several people not respond lately. People who I thought I was starting a possible trade with and then not even saying no thanks just not responding back. Plus people who don't take the time to rate you even though you have taken the time to rate them. That to has happened to me lots lately.

I am guilty for this until recently, Someone had responded to me about something and I was no longer interested in the coupo, let that person know and she was very nice about it, After that I realized it is better for me to just say thanks but not interested then letting them think I was still interested, I was mainly scared of hurting peoples feeling but it is way better to just say sorry not interested then no reply, Which if I have done this to you I apologize, and it will never happen again

Oh my gosh this! I've only had it happen once, I guess they didn't think my offer was good enough, but they could have at least gotten back to me with a simple no thank you! I'm still learning trade worths and things, and its pretty rude to not rspond.

This has happened to me SO MANY TIMES lately! When I first started on SC I thought it must just be the way people interact on here because it happened so much. I thought it was really weird that a common etiquette like responding to a message was not happening so often. I have started to figure out who you can expect to answer and keep a mental note of those who don't so I don't message them again. It's all a negotiation, if you don't like what I offer just say 'no thanks' and we can move on. Otherwise, I feel like I should be holding onto coupons just in case when I see I could be potentially trading them to someone else who is looking for them. At least I know that most people aren't like that on here I still love SC!

Thanks, OP. I totally agree. And imo, it doesn't matter if you have a lot of messages to respond to -- that's the name of the game. You can still respond and say sorry for the late reply. It's just a matter of respect and good manners. Like littlenom posted, I also make a mental note. And I won't hold coupons for more than 2 days if I haven't heard back.
