I was reading today about what a tough time people have been having using coupons at Canadian Tire.
I was going through the coupons which would expire July 31 and discovered Thanks to Arch Dandy that CT had Mr. Clean erasers on for $1.00 and I had 2 - buy 2 and get $2.00 back.
Yippie! 4 for Free - I thought - but not without a test of wills. The cashier - a young girl proceeded to read the entire coupon - said she could only use 1 coupon per purchase - So, as CarlyinCanada said - I told her to make it 2 purchases. Then she pointed out that the Mr. Clean eraser shown in the picture was for a package of 2 and these had only 1.
I pointed out that the wording said, "ANY 2 products".
She got a little flustered but proceeded to put it through.
I had to really control my smile when she charged me .26 tax for 2 and then gave me 5cents in CT money! And she had to do that twice!
At that point a superviser came over and watched but didn't say anything as I walked out with 4 packages of Mr. Clean erasers for .52 - minus the 10 cents in CT money.

Thanks, folks! - Actually I had given up on finding them but they were in a little display right at the checkouts. And if you look carefully at the ad, it actually says, "Sample Size"

Haha, that sounded exactly like what happened to me. I had my $.50 coupons in hand just in case they gave me a hassle but nope
I was giggling on the way out and DH had to ask why

my sister bought 22 the other day and the cashier was impressed with her purchases. I guess it depends on the cashier.
