For a few reasons I debated on going to Shoppers Drug Mart after work today, but finally decided to give it a go. Glad I did as I achieved my goal: spend $50 before tax to get the Tim Card. Furthermore, after I was given the Tim Card and my Optimum card was scanned, I handed over my stack of coupons. Not a word was said, got smiles... and a "you're the coupon queen, eh!" and I made sure to say "I'm working on it and it's a lot of work, but the savings are SO worth it!" She was just lovely. SO, as others have stated, and now I know for myself, these "bonus things" (could be the exception tho) are NOT AFTER coupons. So long as the total, before taxes is over $50 (or whatever amount), you get that "bonus thing."
SDM
x2 Glade Sense & Spray (sale $4.99), minus two $5 = +$0.02
Campino (sale $1.99) = $1.99
x4 Lifebrand peanut snack things ($0.99 each) = $3.96 *buy 2, get 300 bonus points*
Lifebrand dental floss (sale $1.99) = $1.99 *buy 5 Lifebrand products, get 20X points*
Glysomed handcream (sale $2.99), minus $1 = $1.99 *bonus coupon for 500 points*
x2 Crest Pro-Health (sale $1.77 each), minus two $1 = $1.54
x2 Aquafresh White n' Shine (sale $2/$5, scanned at $2.79 & $1.97=$4.76), minus two $0.50 = $3.76
Crest w/scope (sale $1.77), minus $1 = $0.77
Garnier Nutrioniste cleanser (sale $6.29)
Garnier Nutrioniste face cream (sale $10.99)
........minus $5 WUB 2 Garnier Nutrioniste = $12.28
x2 Hershey chocolate bars (sale 2/$1.69) = $1.69 (was a wee short of $50 pre-tax, so grabbed these!)
Total pre-tax = $49.95 (cashier said it was close enough)
Total w/tax + after coupons = $32.45
Reg points = 490 *so earned on total BEFORE coupons... a form of payment*
Points earned today = 2110 (which doesn't add up to enough... I'll re-check my thinking and probably end up taking it back and asking about it... or do I just call?!)

Sweet! A nice SDM employee. I found an awesome Zellers employee for the first time today
I Love you; not for what you are, but for what I am when I am with you.

You are lucky. Around here they make it $50 after coupons for those promotions.
Enjoy the timmies.

Perhaps I am this time. But I had asked 3 cashiers previous to this if it was before or after coupons and they said after... okay, yet my receipts proved they counted reg points before coupons... so finally I just wanted to see what happens, lol. I had a "plan B" tho, lol!

Great deals and take your receipt back to the store if you want the missing points.
