For those of you asking about how it works, from what I recall, generally speaking (there may be tweaks to this, but it's basically what happens), "team captains" volunteer.

People wishing to sign up PM them and they accept people until there are ten registrants in total, PLUS the team captain. You have to provide your SDM card number, your screen name and your real name. THEY sign you up as referrals "under" them.

On the appointed days, everyone goes and does their shopping, being careful to spend at least the minimum required amount. They email their team captain and advise as to their total purchased. The team captain gets a list from SDM of all their referrals who shopped (so it is verified first). If everyone shops, we all get bonus points!

Keep your receipts and be ready to prove you shopped by scanning them - sometimes SDM is tardy and the captains typically refuse to deal with people who failed to do their shopping as promised. If something comes up and you won't be able to, be SURE to contact them right away - usually there are still people who want to join right up to the last minute, so it's not always fatal.

If its a SDM sponsered event I wouldn't be too concerned about the transferring of points...they want us to shop, just my opinion!

I have one quick question, are you allowed to forward your email with the referral link to other friends and family (outside of your SC group) so that they can register and shop too?

I noticed that there was a 55,000 points limit, is that how a person would achieve their 55,000 points?

Sunraven, I'm not sure on that one. Cyanne, whom I first "met" on another board, is like the SDM Refer-a-Friend Queen - she (and another person I met there) can organize these things with a hand tied behind her back and her eyes closed, she knows EVERYTHING.

Boo, if you're around, perhaps you could let us know how these events are run here? I don't want to step on any toes, that's for dang sure!

No. You can only register for this event ONCE. People often have trouble with this, which gives us trouble. Even if Bob clicks your link and enters his information, all he's doing is logging in to the the account he's ALREADY REGISTERED. Only one registration per card. If you have another family member with a card, they can register too, however. (Duplicate email addresses don't matter).

Um, I have a question.
I been doing this for a few times now. I know after I send the email, I will wait for a few days before my group leader msg me. The thing is, I am going away this weekend (Friday night to monday morning) and if my group leader contact me during that period...I will be likely to get "dropped"..
So should I send an email with Cyanne say "OKAY, send to this email now" or should I wait until I come back just to save everyone some time?
