I am in Ottawa & although all the zellers dont have sales on the same stuff....I have found many good items at all of them.

I googled HBC today and found a news article that they were purchased by the US store Lord & Taylor. July 18th...Lord & Taylor owns Target...my favourite US store....I am thinking (hoping) that the Zellers are shutting down and becoming Targets...In the last 2 weeks I have shopped more at Zellers than the last 15 or more years

I have to say tho....that I have had a wonderfull cashier the last few times I went & today I had some returns on clothes I bought...I had 4 different bills the customer service rep beside the one that was serving me took some of the returns & I was finished in minutes....I needed those body washes....& was on my lunch

It was Billings Bridge.....which luckily is right near my work....There wasnt much left when I went after work....The Zellers in Orleans has a huge clearance section on clothes....I got a couple of tshirts and some jogging pants each under $4.00. I also got some winter tights...the thick wool ones for $2.50

Oh sorry yes the bodywashes were on clearance & I was lucky to have some coupons also

I just read an article re: the purchase of HBC http://www.nationalpost.com/news/story.html?id=659367.

Should be interesting to see how HBC is restructured. I hope that they at least maintain the rewards program at Zellers (assuming that Zellers will remain). When it comes to restructuring/buyouts, particularly in retail, nothing is guaranteed!
