I was in a zellers the other day and they had compact florecent bulbs on sale that clearly states on them "free with the purchase of a 2 pack". I have no idea how they get away with that.

I would take this matter to the store the next day with the items bought AND the receipt. Talk to the manager and explain the situation. Make sure that you get the FULL refund back. See if you can also get coupons back, too. You just never know until you try.

The stores don't make enough money on their customers, they have to clip away "bonus" products to make money for themselves? I wouldn't mind if they were doing that as long as I knew the money was going towards giving their employees much deserved raises. Unfair to sell something that was intended to be free when you pruchase a specific product.
