Thread: Hershey's Chipits
-
Thu, Dec 3rd, 2009, 02:28 PM #1
Was at the dollar store in Guelph this afternoon on Stone Rd and they had an entire shelf of Hershey's semi-sweet,butterscotch and milk chocolate chipits for 1.00. I thought that was an amazing deal considering the best I've seen is 2/4.00 in recent weeks. Bought 20 bags 10 for my sister and 10 for me.... Here I come Christmas Baking!

My sister and I found these at Zellers a few weeks back for $1 as well. Saves a lot of money on all those Christmas treats!

Actually, I've just been munching on a few chocolate chips, so thought I'd read this post.
Remember when the dollar store sold little jars of red marachino cherries?
I still have 1 jar left, and that's going to be used for my shortbread cookies, to make cherry hide-aways.
My dollar store hasn't had many baking ingredients for the past year; suppliers are fewer, so they say, but sometimes before Christmas they get renewed stock, so I might be able to get some raisins and dates. I wash them very well before I use them.
