A beautiful start to the day. Sunny and cool. Went into the back and filled the bird bath, and then sprayed two bushes and one tree to prevent bugs early. Also planted two Trillium. A very good start to the day.

Wintry weather expected this weekend.
Showers, with possible thundershowers, are forecast to spread over central and northeastern Newfoundland today ahead of an approaching area of low pressure. Showers will continue tonight and Saturday, then become mixed with or change over to snow Saturday evening as a cold northerly flow strengthens behind the system. Snow and strong north to northwesterly winds are forecast to persist into Sunday morning, and then gradually taper off Sunday afternoon and evening.
While it is too soon to provide a forecast of snowfall accumulations, the potential exists for significant amounts, potentially exceeding warning criteria over some areas. Persons planning outdoor activities this weekend are advised to prepare for winter weather. Motorists may encounter hazardous driving conditions.
