raining here today and a bit cooler. I dont mind the cooler weather. We had to much sweltering heat this summer. Because of the excessive heat, my tomatoes werent doing well even with constant watering. But you should see them now! I just hope the frost holds up so they can turn red! I pick at least 3 every day now.

We had a frost advisory last night but pretty sure we didn't get any frost. The past couple of days have been rescuing the veggies from the garden....got about 10 lbs carrots and most of the kale & swiss chard has been cleaned, chopped, blanched and in the freezer to use during the winter! Beets didn't grow this year and spinach mostly went to seed. Lots of herbs (chives, oregano, mint, parsley) and onions did okay..and have loads of tomatoes but most are still green so not sure how many more will turn. Got about 3 pints of cherry tomatoes but all the beef steak are still green. +20 for this afternoon

Nice day, not too cool and not to hot. Supposedly rain by tonight. I just finished doing my second picking of parsley, oregano, dill and basil to dry for use over winter.

Gorgeous sunny day today. The leaves of our neighbours Canadian Red Maple are turning flaming red. What a sight.

Voltron, my pet vole, lives at the beach.
He eats what I eat and I bulked him up for winter.
He doesn't swim or sunbath, not sure why he lives at the beach....might be the bikinis.
