+3 feels like -1 this morning, getting ready to go to the cabin for the weekend. Only accessible by boat this time of year and another windy weekend on tap so the window to return home will be between 8-10 am Sunday morning. Have a great weekend everyone!

Special Weather Statement
Issued at 15:16 Sunday 25 October 2020
First accumulating snowfall of the season expected for many areas.
Total snowfall: near 5 cm, with higher amounts over elevated terrain.
Locations: central, western and northern Newfoundland.
Time span: mainly late Monday night through Tuesday morning.
Remarks: Snow is expected to begin over western Newfoundland near midnight Monday night, and will spread into central and northern parts of the island by early Tuesday morning. The snow will change to rain over most areas by midday on Tuesday, but may persist through Tuesday afternoon and evening over parts of the Northern and Baie Verte Peninsulas, especially over higher terrain.
Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate. Motorists should be prepared for winter driving conditions
