Wait. You AND hubby? Onlu ONE of you is supposed to register in the group. Then that person can refer the other themselves! This gets you slightly more points and leaves a spot for someone else! It's in the FAQ, and the tutorial. Who's your hubby. Only one of you should register!

Hmmm. So if I participate , I wonder if I have to give out my Optimum numbers.

Well, how else are we supposed to give you your group points? No one needs any security information, though.

Just had a question and couldnt seem to find it either in the online FAQ or in this thread (searching keyword 'new'). My wife just signed up for a new optimum points card and I wanted to have her sign up under me. The online process told us to bring the temporary card (we printed it out online) into SDM store where they will exchange it for a real card.

Anyone have any experience with using a new optimum card for the tell-a-friend event?

It doesn't matter if the card is new or old, all that matters is that you can log in online here: http://www.shoppersdrugmart.ca

If your card is VERY new it might say that the card number doesn't exist and is invalid (or something along those lines). It usually takes 3-6 weeks or so for your card to update online once you sign up for one. In this case, you can call Shoppers (1-800-SHOPPERS) and ask them to speed up the process so that you can use it for the Tell A Friend event!

Basically, as long as you can log into your optimum account online, it doesn't matter the age of the card
