The software behind the search function is broken. He is working on an upgrade of whole forum as there are quite a few things that do not work but we also need to work in a way of keeping trading scores and other features that are not supported by the new forum software which means nothing is an easy fix

Is there an estimated deadline for this?

Can there be an expire button introduced on threads that only the person who started the thread can use? I find it stupid when years-old threads are revived by ?spammers?

The expire button is active for thread starters but is only active in forums where threads should be expired, coupons, deals etc.
I can ask Boo to add it to all forums but not sure if he will

Personally, I'd prefer all inactive threads over a certain age(say 2 years) to be purged from the system. Every other forum I'm part of does this..

However, it's not mine so I don't get to say how it's run.

I expire the trading and contest request ones every so often but Boo wants the others left

Is reply with quotes ever going to get fixed?It's ridiculous manually separate words because everything you type in reply with quote looks like pleasefixthisisassoonaspossible.

I sent it to them to fix when they did search and PMs, in the mean time if you put it above the quote instead of below, spacing works
