Have you been reporting the threads you notice Natalka? Because I've personally gotten no reports on threads in the Tea Room that need to be moved.

I did for two of them recently - but I wasn't sure if that was the right thing to do or not...

Love the site. Only suggestion I have, is that there are often two pages of "thanks" posts after a single informative post (I'm thinking of the deals and coupons thread) and I wonder if there is the option with the bulletin board software to instead "vote" or give a "plus" to the original post to show our gratitude, rather than just two pages of thanks? When you see a thread with several pages of comments, it's often disappointing to find them all thank you replies.

I'm sure it's not at all disappointing to the person who made the topic.

Personally, I prefer to give a thumbs up and rep the person with "thanks" if they made a topic that is useful to me, and only post if I want to comment on something, but that's just what I do. A lot of people like thanking someone for their contribution by posting "thanks", and I am sure their posts are appreciated by whoever made the topic.

Yes, it is the right thing to do if the mods haven't noticed it. If something is posted in the wrong forum or double posted, something offensive, or even something you're just not sure about....can all be reported.

hi Boo! i would like to suggest th following: when there is a freebie link or paid survey link why not hide it from guests and ask them to join smartcanucks in order to have access.. thus only members will have access to it..some sites do that..just an idea after all! thanks for the hard work!<!-- GAL -->

Just wanted to mention that in the messaging system, the 'Select All' or 'DeSelect All' check box doesn't work anymore....I used to use it all the time to help speed up the delete function.

Maybe it's just me, but it seems to me that there have been more posts that appear to be intended to drive traffic away from SC to other deal-related websites in the recent past.

No doubt they're intended to be helpful to SCers, but I have been scratching my head over why they'd be permitted, at least without paying for advertising on Boo's site.

The their/there/they're etc. type of mistake drives me crazy since it hinders communication, as does really bad grammar. The issue is more about trying to get a point across clearly - that's why we're on message boards. And, quite frankly, I agree that some people make so little effort it is hard to understand what they are saying.

Spelling/typos is less of an issue communicating, since most of the time your brain can sort it out while hardly noticing. But at the same time, that's the easy mistake to fix.

One of my friends uses her facebook status to regularly post grammar and spelling rules.... Screamy, maybe your signature space could be used for mini lessons, as a service to the public?

LOL...I hadn't had a chance to come back to this until now, but I suppose you're right. Although I will confess that it's news to me that the word "stuff", the noun described by the offending hyphenated adjective, is actually a verb in that particular context.

I guess Andit's probably correct in her assertion that she, tommygunn and I would have a ball playing Scrabble. Either that, or we'd kill each other. In any event, as I said in my original post - most days I succeed in managing to focus on the much more serious issues in life.

I really like SC but the only thing that bothers me is when a thread is started we don't know where they are talking about.
When I see deals at a store I don't know if it is in Toronto, Edmonton. Vancouver or ?
I know we have a site for each province but these are not always put onto that location.
Is there a way this can be fixed?

Canadyland has just been relocated. It can now be found in the second smaller toolbar, under Community...hope this helps.
