Could we please have a Black Friday 2011 Forum created?

The only forum up right now is titled,
"Black Friday Canada Deals Black Friday Deals in Canada 2010, sales, shopping, ads and discounts"

It is confusing for everyone to go to the Black Friday 2010 forum and see 2010 posts mixed with 2011 posts.

The up to date 2011 threads are not getting the credit they deserve.

Could we have this done today?

I'd like some modifications to the blog posts made...would it be possible to change the huge long lists for, say, the Wacky Wednesday IKEA posts, to a clickable link, so that they don't take up so much space and require people to scroll through them to get to the next post?

It would be great to have that for our usual longer ones, too, like the baby deals and Anne's awesome flyer list (that has been done once before and it was great).

That way, those of us who won't be shopping at IKEA (or wherever) can skip to the next post without having to scroll through tons of pictures, etc.

Hi there, thanks for your suggestions. Ikea are enjoyed by many as a full list and its been like that for a few years now. I rotate on the baby deals and Annes list etc, each week one full one is posted. We need to stay competitive with the full lists

I must say, I find it hard to understand how the Burlington or Etobicoke, Ontario, deals could be of any interest to anyone living outside of the GTA, nor do I believe that the folks in Alberta care about Ontario deals for IKEA...but SC isn't a BlackBerry/mobile phone friendly site to begin with.

That's okay though - my RMT gets to scold me everytime I go in for a massage about my ridiculously over-developed right thumb muscles from all the extra scrolling!

I totally agree - it's been really nice when there have been clickable links only.

Is it possible to make the drop-down tabs at the top drop down only when you click on them? It's so freakin' annoying when my cursor accidentally goes over one of them and it drops.. especially the "local" one because if you're not thinking and you move the cursor to the right then another menu drops down.

Great suggestions here I have noticed that the flyer deals section has been cluttered lately with a lot of posts like "10% off a random online store" that maybe only a few people have heard of. Perhaps we could have a separate section for online deals or specialty stores that are only found in one city or area. It is getting pretty hard to find the main deals that most of us have access to!

I have a question about avatar pics. I'm trying to upload a photo that is of a dancing penguin. But, when I do, it turns into a regular photo...
I've seen that others have managed to put up these kinds of photos and I'm wondering if someone can tell me how. Thank you

Not that anyone probably cares, but I figured out that you need to resize them so they are 100 by 100. When you do that it automatically works for any "movy" picture you want to upload.... (well, it should work)
