What about a free or nearly free gift exchange....with a twist!!!
The shipping would be the most expensive part
plan it for AUGUST or some month that doesn't have a lot going on in it, and give everyone months to put it together (you may have to make two groups one whos gifts include smellies and a group who's gifts don't)
you spend all your time making up a gift That costs very little and you don't even know who is going to get it yet!!!
then the day comes when all gifts are due, everyone posts a pic of their gifts wrapped up when all gift pics are posted, then the names are drawn and you have a week to send it off.
Don't know if that sounds neat or not.... but just trying to think of free or nearly free things to send is kinda challenging. make it so that the total shouldn't be more than $10 but the closer to free the better, and maybe include some good brags to share with the recipient.
Postage on the other hand...might be tricky... but you can choose free and small as well I suppose *smile*
let me know how this sounds and I might try to organize this.

I love exchanges, I'd do one a month...lol. Shipping is expensive but like I explained to hubby I don't have any vices I don't smoke, drink, to cheap to gamble or have any expensive hobbies. I'm entitled to waste some money on postage every once in a while.
If shipping cost me $10 & $15 on the gift it's about what we'd pay to go to the movies and I get way more than 1 1/2 of enjoyment out of an exchange.

I blame Koala. lol well actually technically Patty. lol good bye innocence. lol I am growing up. lol
On the other hand... you could be right about Energizer having a whole new market. lol I can just imagine the commercial-buzzing bunnies making clucking sounds laying chocolate eggs. lol good for the whole family! lol
Reminds me when I was in Walmart last week-a child was with his mom in the Valentine's stuff and pressing all the stuffed animals and most were cute but there was this one... all of a sudden I hear "I'm too sexy for my..." lol and the kid looked a little confused and yet interested and the mom was laughing sort of. I think she may have been deciding whether it was funny or not. I think she was also embarrassed because customers were looking in that direction. lol

Aw, so cute!
Just a baby! I bet they would have a ball! Our dog is 13 years old and has no time for my son. It's a sin he wants her to play with him some bad. I think if she had been younger it would be no problem. That's her in my avi, my amber Lab x.

Thank you SO MUCH PAC182! I received your gift last night and it is amazing. T-shirts for my girls, chocolates, gum, hair clips, shower gel, Cosmetic bag with goodies, chocolate heart and stickers! Thank you so much for everything. This was my first "official SC" exchange and I loved it. You really found the perfect items for my family.
Thanks to the organizers as well!
PS- I sent my gift. I posted on page 15 that it had been sent. I notice on the first page that it is not marked that it has been sent. Just wanted to give a heads up. I really don't want to be left out of the next exchange. These are too much fun!Last edited by Momto2Ks; Thu, Feb 4th, 2010 at 01:05 PM.
