My SDM had the acer aspire netbook on display for $349.99. This is the one that will be on sale for $299.99 starting saturday.

Today, I took my Dad and got the 20% senior's discount = $350-70 = $280. Used my $150 Redemption and paid $130 + taxes.

Great Deal!!!! Oh yeah....and I got the $10 gift card too.

i thought seniors discounts can't go over $50 per transaction??

I vaguely remember reading something about that too...but on my receipt it clearly gave me $70 off.

Thanks for all the info!! I posted in the Vancouver section but in case people don't look there, Broadway and Vine in Vancouver has 9 right now and they are scanning in at tomorrow's $299 price!!! I was soooo excited!! No optical drive, no modem, but it's good enough to get the kid's homework done for her first year of university!!! Wahoooo!!!! So thanks once again for all the early posts regarding this netbook!!!

I went tonight and got one at midnight, as they werent selling them until after 12.
There was already someone else in line ahead of me waiting to get one. Got the bonus $20 futureshop card, but will have to call about the 10x points I didnt get.
