Woofy, it's great that Mr. will be able to be home for a bit - I know it was wonderful to have my husband at home for a bit when I came home. Actually I ended up having to stay in the hospital for a week, so he had only taken off work the first few days of that week after our son was born, then more days when I came home. My mom came for a few days, too - but that was tough since we were in a small apartment, but it was nice to have her support and to cook!
But my husband's real 'test' was when I ended up in the hospital for a three days when baby was seven weeks old, and he looked after him by himself! Freaked out my sisters, they were ready to swoop and come in and do it all - but they hadn't realized that he was just as capable as I was (and I wasn't nursing by then)! He did great, and brought the baby over to see me every day and evening!

Awww... that's so sweet of your DH! And he did it all by himself! Good for him! You are a lucky woman!
