Eight Garage Sales, 2 Days, $20

So, this weekend marked my first real chance to garage sale this summer...and I have to say...I think I did pretty well. I started out Friday with a $20 bill...and this is what I got.



Kids books 15 x 5/$1.00 = $3.00 (one is missing from pic) DS LOVES Curious George...hit the jackpot here!!!



2 pairs sz 5 boys overalls $1.00, 1 pair sz 18mos boys overalls $0.50, blue shirt $0.50, sz 4 boys cordouroy pants $0.50 = $2.50
I have been searching everywhere for overalls for my 3 year old...and finally found some in excellent condition!!



2x Wilton Cake pans (Rainbow Brite!!! I had this cake for my 4th b-day!) $1.00, Antique Tetley canister $2.00, Bernardin Freezer Jam jars $0.50, 100pc Cookie Cutter Set $2.00 = $5.50



Fisher Price Cool Crew Lawn Mower $2.00

Grand Total = $13.00 and one very happy little boy!

PS the change bought ice cream and slurpies on Friday and Saturday

that's great!!! I've noticed the garage sales in my area barely have anything good and the good stuff is so over priced, I swear I saw a "well used" basinette at a garage sale for 90$, who takes 90$ in cash to a garage sale??? Plus a lot of other over priced stuff....

THanks! I adore my boys in overalls! I've searched all the stores and thrift shops in the area for boys sizes (3 and up) and couldn't find any. The best part....my son is so skinny (like size 2 in the waist) but has long legs...the overalls are a perfect fit!

Very nice, I love garage sales too!!! Got most of my toys & books for daycare from them last summer it's amazing how good of deals you can find when you are out looking!!! Last summer my bf and I went garage saling every Saturday - lol - got lots of great deals and I have an amazing play room now with every toy imaginable and very few of them are brand new and you would never know it!!!
