I don't smoke, drink, chase loose men, nor do I spend $3K on shoes but we won't mention the Ralph Lauren black velvet dress that I have NO where to wear.
I need to start smoking, drinking or chasing men to get that dress out of the house.

If I calculated how much money I "throw" away each year I'd probably faint, leftovers, forgotten fruits and veggies, meat that got freezer burnt etc. Let alone the clothes I buy and never wear.

That's true - and the amount varies by everyone's circumstances. Plus we all have different ideas of what is 'wasteful'. For example, I can't see how people can spend so much money on Starbucks or even Tim's every day, multiple times a day. That's my bugaboo! In "my" eyes, that's wasteful... to you, it may be heaven! I just went to Value Village and bought two CD's. One I hate, and the other one had no CD in the case. What a waste of money!

We all "waste" our money on things. some do it in excess and some don't. Honestly we need to "waste" money on occasion for the simple fact we need to enjoy life. If all we did is spend money on things that we only need, then life would get kind of boring.
