Should not have been SCOPed if it had a price tag!

Happened to me with that 3 piece kids shirts... tagged $5, scanned $9... no SCOP cuz it is a ticketed item... you got lucky.

Ohhhh... I had no idea!! Opps!! I asked the cashier if it would be an SCOP and she just said "oh yeah". The CS lady didn't even look - I guess because it was only $1

It happend to me with a ladies shirt and I got to SCOP it as well. It had a yellow sticker on the price tag saying $1 but didnt ring through at the right price.
Guess it depends on the cashier?

Depends on the cashier, yes, cuz they do or do not understand the policy.

Gee, I'd have a lot more free stuff if I asked on items I know are exempt from SCOP... haha, but the darn angel on my shoulder would be mad at me, hahaha.

Yes, if you do know all the rules and try to scam something then it would be dishonest..... I'm sure like myself lots of people don't know ALL the rules to it. I always ask the cashier if its a SCOP if the price comes up higher then I know its supposed to. If Im not supposed to get it then I figure they will say no

does anyone know where the SCOP policy can be found on here? I saw it once and searched for it later but couldn't find it. There always seems to be changes and updates to it since the few months I spent working retail and I would like to read it again.

Oh, I realize it was an honest oops and it's been done before and will be again, lol. Please don't think i was jumping on anyone. I was meaning just what you said -- that yes, I already am aware and thus... couldn't do it.

If you read the sign by the cashiers... the first line says it all... "if the price of a non priced/ticketed item rings up higher than the shelf price"... so I learned from the get-go about the priced/ticketed items being excluded.

    luv........................

SC has a few threads ALL about SCOP.

This is another informative link... includes a brochure.
