Disappearing Blog Comment?

I hope I'm not going crazy - it seems like the past several times when I've made a comment on the main blog page, it shows up when I hit submit, but then, say, the next day when I come to see if there were more comments, mine is gone!

Has this happened to anyone else? Could there be some kind of bug? Or could I just be missing something?

(Oh, and it's never like they're offensive posts that would get edited out or anything, I assure you!)

I know I just removed someone's comment from the blog because they posted their costco membership # and phone number ... so sometimes it's for your own protection! However, I am sure Sally can help you.

I remove comments that are spam, like that have sexual words and links in them, it's been happening a lot lately. I also removed another comment because it had a mailing address in it, this was someone who was commenting like the blog was Kraft and we are not. When I removed the mailing address, I said, please do not post your mailing address here and edited that part out and said so. I would never delete any comments otherwise.

Maybe it's just me but the word "ed" used in that context is offensive.

We just edit out personal information we dont delete the comment

For example.

Hey Proctor and Gamble, I love your products my name is ALisha Mcdermis and my address is 135 box st, boxville,bc, n43 d43 and my number is 555-555-5555 please mail me coupons.....

Or simply leave the rest of the comment and put *address removed*

We never remove the whole comment as people get mad and contact Boo about it. Also If a comment is super offensive we just move it to pending, this way Boo isnt wondering why the comment was deleted, But unless your posting sexual words or swears your comments should be appearing.

Ya, I put *blah blah* and took out the address and left the rest. I delete stuff that has the word c*nt, ballz, etc in it. I don't want to p*ss off anyone and very would rather approve a comment and let someone look stupid than to get myself in trouble, like the constant walmart protest comments
