I agree with you....I always appreciate it when riders look at others wishlist and put in some coupons that could be useful to others on the train...it's a great idea to include wishlists in the envie so the rider doesn't have to take time to look them up. I have gotten a few lately with lots of expired and coupons that I just woulnd't use...a lot of times I just end up taking out coupons that I can use to fulfill VWT's that I'm on (if there are any good ones that is) I always try to be generous and leave good coupons for other riders. Also, I've been on some VWT's where I seem to get the same three coupons from riders, which is disappointing as well because I can't stack. I always give only 1 of each coupon unless the person can stack then if I have multiple UPC's I'll give them. On my most recent VWT I included a rule that you must include "3 Different" coupons for each rider. I think it's easy to forget that there are other riders and that they may be sending the same coupons as you are...then when you get your vw envie back you have a tonne of the same coupon- no fun!
Lately for my regular trains I have asked for 1 P stamp as BP. That way at least I know my postage is covered if I get back the envie with expired and terrible coupons.
Nicole, I'll ride your train...not sure which I quilify for? I know not the Newbie train so you can put me on whichever one you think is appropriate.

I forgot to add , that I agree, I often get trains with nothing much in them, i often take a couple coupons I really wont need. I find it very disappointing on the wishlist trains too though, I usually send out really good stuff and get nothing good back. I guess its just part of being on trains. I've lost out on alot of great coupons like this.

I totally agree with you there have been a few trains i have been on that are just loaded with coupons NO ONE will use thats I have i clearly state NO CRAP COUPONS on a few of teh trains i have started and if you don't like that rule its your choice to join my train or not. I have also added a few "wishlist/ bouns coupons for each rider on some of my trains and from the feedback the riders appreciate it.
Also I would love a seat on one of your trains if theres still room pm'ing you!

I was just on a train that was a train and also had a wishlist for each person. In the train there could be no doubles of any coupons and there was such great coupons in it. Even the coupons that were left in an envelope for me were great! So to have a small wishlist of each rider would be great, so at least you know you are getting coupons you like.
I have never rid on any of your trains, and would like to. PMing you.

I have given up on trains my last ride on someones train was crap and I was the first rider, same with my only experience on a VWT I got coupons not on my list, expired coupons, a few stamps and a couple coupons off my list. I believe I sent some great coupons to the other passengers including a $10 hasbro and a few other coupons to one rider who couldn't even say thanks or rate me. I am done with trains

Heya CCG, You make alot of great points which I totally agree with...
I was recently on a GREAT wishlist train of Jezzeebelle's (hope you don't mind me mentioning you Jezzee!!). The rules were great because you could only ask for 1 HV/FPC and the remaining coupons had to be everyday kind (i.e. couldn't be the 'most wanted' kind, the call-ins, or rare ones, no GC, CTmoney, movie tickets, etc). You were asked to provide 5 coupons per rider, with a min req of at least 2 coupons and the rest stamps...but the stamp requirement was clear, for example:
IF YOU DON'T HAVE ENOUGH WISH COUPONS THEN HERE IS THE STAMP VALUES
3-COUPONS=2 STAMPS
4-COUPONS=3 STAMPS
5-COUPONS=4 STAMPS
I think everyone on this train was HAPPY!Join Swagbucks: http://www.swagbucks.com/refer/jojoskelowna

We should maybe make a list of crappy coupons etc... How many hair dye can one person use... Maybe start a train and have a list of coupons not allowd in the train..

This is a great thread Nicole. One of my trains came home today with lots of crappy stuff in it (one nice passenger put in a free coffee and filters for me so that was REALLY nice) but most of the stuff is just garbage
so sad.
I've been working on my food only train ~ as I want it to be a good train or hope it is anyhow. I find it difficult to put your coupons out there when you are pretty much guaranteed to get crappy coupons back.
I like the wish list coupon train idea, but that too scares me....I've never joined one as most of the coupons are sooo out there that people are asking for and I wouldn't want to send away my personal stash of HV coupons in not knowing what you are getting back. As those are harder to come by and you have to mail or phone to get most of them.
I think having an updated wish list though is useful so that if the rider before you or the conductor is able to send some coupons in the train for you that's even better and if they are not HV or are easily accessible then it's np like this idea Nicole
I have had lots of nice people on my trians along the way. I have encountered a few really Generous people too, in doing my trains when lost or not received by the next passengers.
1) Sent a replacement train out and sent me the stamps from the previous passengers that were lost.
2) Sent me out a bonus package of coupons, HV coupons (from company) & a book of stamps ~ Still shocks me how kind this person was!!!
3) Sent a Free Coffee coupon and Coffee Filters

I agree with you ccg I just recieved a train home and 90% of the train is March 31 expirys....the train started out great but ended with filler crap
I try to give out prizes hoping my trains run better...doing this has helped my trains turn out better...I would like to ride your train
That's okay jojos
I just don' t want unhappy passengers and if my rules are clear things should work out ..and I feel a bit harsh but am prepared to give a neut/neg rating if riders can't follow the rules as it affects the riders and conductors when a train is crap as future riders don't want to ride your trains based on posts in your train thread about how lousy the train was....Last edited by Jezebel; Wed, Mar 10th, 2010 at 06:21 PM.
