star84 images are like the Zen part of my day.
Love me Caturday, thanx user-id!
I'm so sad to hear about your car woes, scrapbookingoasis. Stinks on top of it that you had to pay for a rental. And a rental that doesn't drive well in the snow!
I'm with you, ThreeMonster'sMom. I had one mechanic early in life that I trusted wholeheartedly yet he retired and sold shop. After that I've had terrible experiences like being charged for a new part to find out it was an old part when the car broke down a week afterwards. I've had bad luck at a dealership too as I had an oil change only to leave and have check engine light go on a few minutes into drive. Turns out they drained the oil yet didn't put any back in. I bet the good guys do good business because of word of mouth. I'd go a few extra miles out for a dependable shop.
Thank you for the fun stuff, ThreeMonster'sMom.
Seems like you could use a day of just goofing off taking care of your soul, Ricki911- enjoy!
Thank you for sharing word, manzervite.
My gratitude to everyone that checks in with a 'hi', thanx or more. I thank you for your time and thoughtfulness!

ING_rep - good luck on your midterms
Fortunately, 2 of my brothers are mechanics (although we don't usually get them to fix our vehicles since we don't live in the same city) but we also know a few other reliable and honest mechanics. It was just a bad time for it to breakCollecting Campbell's soup labels for our school RAKs greatly appreciated.
Using WagJag for great deals!

Hope everyone had a wonderful Saturday!
Thanks so much for the words! I am sooo far behind (one day I`ll catch up, too much gallavanting these days for me).
My friend is home from hospital & back in her own bed. Yippee!!! & yes, she`s the one who had major surgery in the fall.
Today, I took the last of my Xmas decorations down. The short one is very ticked at me for removing his garland (garlands are made for killing, dontchaknow). Might have to fry up some liver to get Quincy cat to forgive me. I`m still not sure why I`m stuck taking care of the brat when Lily dog brought him home.
Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.

For those with trouble with doggy nail clipping, this trick might work. Take a paper cup (like the old Dixie cups we all used to have in our bathrooms, coffee cups also work well) & smear peanut butter on the bottom & sides. If you can get one that just about covers the pup`s nose it`s even better. Start with the back paws, while the pup`s nose & teeth are preoccupied. You might only be able to do one nail at a time, but it should work to desensitize the pup.
Hope this helps (mine put up with it, knowing they`ll get treats when they`re done & also know the less fuss they make, the quicker it will be over).

Well, I am one lucky woman, because I have THE BEST mechanic!!! He has been my mechanic and friend for twenty-five years. I don't even have to leave a message on his phone, when he see's my name on his screen he calls me back. He never overcharges me, he never does work that doesn't need to be done, if he gives me an estimate over the phone he always holds to it regardless if the work takes several hours longer. If the problem is something that he doesn't handle he always recommends a trustworthy place I can take my vehicle to. He really looks after me and my vehicle.
Thank you everyone for ALL these new words. You guys are awsome!!!

Thanks for all the new words!
Good luck ING hope the exam goes well. I hate exam you get all worked up over them and its nothing.
Ill have to use Andi method see if it works or not.
I think I have the best mechanic hes on call 24 hours a day and will come straight to me. I get free of charge and cheap parts. Only down fall is I have to live with him and he steals my food. I get to hear him whine and complain how I break the car as well but isnt that what Daddys are for.
