Hey, I have a question (and it's not related to eye grossity stuff!)
Do you guys ever complete the customer satisfaction thingies that are usually on the bottom of your receipts? Y'know, the ones that say "tell us how we did, win $500".
And if you diligently do them, have you ever won?
Wondering if they are worth my time. I refuse to play the lottery because I think it's a waste of money... but doing these can give me a thrill without costing me anything, and $500 extra towards my mortgage isn't anything too bad either.
Let me know, just curious if anyone that actually takes the time to fill this stuff out has ever been rewarded.
I did quite a few of them and have never won anything. At some point I remember people questioning if anyone actually wins, and I did some research and pulled up winners lists and stuff... but I've never won and nobody I know has either.
For contests the ones worth filling out are the local stuff imo - I've won two good prizes, one for sending an email for a contest in one of the free papers, and one for filling a ballot at Woofstock.
I only fill out ballots that are from reputable companies.
I noticed that when I fill out ballots that say free travel from unknown companies, I will get lots of those timeshare telemarketing calls telling me that I have "won" a free night's stay somewhere, but I have to go for some presentation... Whatever.
Since I changed my ballot filling to only reputable companies, I never receive any more of those telemarketing calls!
Oh... and I won the Grand Prize of an entire nursery for Ethan, when I filled in a Sears ballot at the BabyTimes show in November 2009!
Ok, thanks for the feedback guys. Sounds like it's not worth the time.
save_girl, was it one of those Metro contests? I see them on the train ride in every morning and always think that I should enter them but always forget to (of course) when I get into work. Now I think I can just do it on my phone. :P
Woofy, that's an awesome prize you won! How exciting!!
And yeah, gotta love all those "free trips" phone calls... I feel bad for them when they call at supper time and my DH is the one answering the phone... Ahaha!
Given that I am working from home this week I might enter the Breakfast Television email contests. I know spice won tickets from them in the past, anyone else won anything from them?
OOOH, poor puppy...I will tell the BF, he lives out there....
June 19th you'll be okay, kitty... only three more days, hang in there!
