Trips I usually stock up on milk on sdm's bonus days. Milk freezes just fine, and if you got 4 bags that would go a long way towards the $50 or $75 spend requirement.
And if your kids go through a lot of it, it's worth looking into. I know I definitely decided to go this route because K goes through milk like water.Add me on twitter and I'll add you back! Just mention you are from SC!

I know!!! I am excited to see that but I have to make sure I get there early. FB is notoriously bad for being out of stock!!!
But if I buy milk from Metro (before the sale ends this week), I pay $5.16 for 4L (2x2L less $1.50 coupons) plus I get the airmiles and 2 UPCs to send for $20 coupons. What do you think????
ps. I received one Lactantia coupon from CCG train. I have to reread what it says again as it looks different from the one Screamy gave me.

Hubby is AGAINST freezing milk/ bread etc. He is weird that way and he would rather pay the full price than do it.
Yesterday, I finally caved and bought my girls their Pull Ups at Loblaws (the only store around that has it) at FULL PRICE - $20.99!!! It still hurts to think about it but we've been out for a few days and everyday when I came home from work, they'd ask me "Mommy you bring Dora Pull Ups?" And of course NONE of the stores in the Paths have them - all 4 SDMs and 2 Pharmaplus!!!

My BF wont freeze milk either, but I don't pay as much for it as you do and its just us two so its not so bad
But I was so mad at him yesterday, he went to the grocery store and got everything on my list except milk because 'it was hot and it would go bad' (notice the icecream didn't have that issue) and he went to the convienience store and bought milk at a rediculous price. But he walked to the store so the milk was probably out in the sun a lot longer than if he got it at the damn grocery store

My BF won't freeze a lot of stuff, bread being really high on that list, because it changes the texture, and sometimes the taste too. I find it changes the taste of milk but I'd do it anyway if we had room... which we don't. Someday I will live somewhere with enough room for a freezer!!!

I
the Sobeys on Front St. Not sure if there were just too many employees or too few customers, but I had 3 employees trying to help me. Apparently, everyone decided that this was the week to buy...carrots. Yes, carrots.
There wasn't a single carrot in the store. One employee ran to the back to check if the carrots had come in, one went & did a third thorough check of the produce section (in case we'd missed any carrots) & the third one stayed with me & kept apologizing for running out of carrots. The fellow came running from the back & said that the truck had just pulled in & it would be a few minutes before they could unload the truck.
Off I went to do the rest of my shopping. Ten minutes later, the employee who'd kept apologizing came & found me to tell me that they were bringing out a box of carrots & how many would I like. Got back to the produce section just as the other employee was opening the box.
I don't think I've ever had such good service.

This was also the Sobeys whose cashier (when they first opened) have never seen a coupon before. He asked me "What is this?" I agree about the customer service there - I had an issue before with raincheck + coupon and when I called HO to get clarification, the store Mgr ended up calling me to apologize, with the promise to retrain the cashiers. Never had an issue since (maybe sharing my coupons with some of the regular cashiers also help!).
BTW, does anyone have $1 Reach (save.ca) coupon that I can borrow? I need 2 and should have some more coming soon....Last edited by Tripsplanner; Thu, Jul 15th, 2010 at 12:59 PM.

Huh. I *hate* that Sobeys. I guess it really depends on who's on duty. I would walk a mile to not have to shop there...unless they have Haagen Dazs on sale...LOL.

Dead on my feet, seriously. Just fell into bed, my feet are aching!
I love K, but I swear preparing for his birthday is gonna be the death of me one year. Soooooo tired, feet aches so bad it burns.
But there's 25lbs of chicken, 15lbs of ribs and a 8lb pork shoulder sitting in my fridge waiting to be BBQ'd tomorrow.Add me on twitter and I'll add you back! Just mention you are from SC!
