Would you ever take home food you left found in a cart and eat it? (eg. one can of something, not something they would bother coming back for).

I would say it with a bit more tact than that ... like "those jeans aren't very flattering ... you looked way thinner in that other pair"

No... Probably not.
If you slaved over a sandwich for about 15 minutes and it was perfect, then found out there was mold on the bread, would you pick off the mold and eat it anyways or just throw it out?Don't you know they're lying when they're telling you it's been all right?
