Went grocery shopping in the US yesterday. Picked up:
Walmart supercenter
-ocean spray cranberry juice $1.88
-kozy shack pudding $2.00
-milk $1.58 a gallon
-eggs $0.89 a dozen
-tropicana punch $1.36 half gallon
-ben and jerrys ice cream $2.50 pint
-12 pk pepsi $1.98
Wegmans
-boneless skinless chicken breast $1.79/lb
Duty free
-a 24 pk case of heinken $24
Non-grocery
-4 banana republic t-shirts $14.99 75% off = $3.74 each
-3pk socks at eddie bauer $9.99 50%off and another 50% off = $2.49
Border duty/tax = $0 (waved through. the beer was supposed to be subject to ~$14 duty)

Now that the dollar has gone up shopping in the US has become a better deal! Great buys, especially the chicken breast; the cheapest I've seen in Canada is $2.99 a pound.

WTG last time I was at Walmart I couldn't believe that eggs are only .87 a dozen regular price (this was Buffalo) not fair!!!

Have to see if I could get the day off work. If not, then I'll go Saturday. Of course most of the good deals will be gone, but still worth going.
At the new walmart supercentre right next to the factory outlet mall of niagara on military road. Very close to the Lewiston border crossing
