Sorry to hear you had such a rough time! Keep at it though, it can take a lot of time to learn how to get the most out of your coupons, and cashiers who don't know the rules of coupons can make it even harder. But the money you will save makes it all worth it!
In the future, you may find it easier to let the cashier know ahead of time that you have coupons. Sometimes they will just shove them by the cash and not look at them until they've rung everything through anyways, but a lot of times they will look at them first. Then if they have an issue you can work it out before they ring everything through. Then if they are insistent on one coupon per transaction, you can just leave the stuff there and leave. Not that you can't anyways, but it's a p.i.t.a lol<center><embed src="http://www.widdlytinks.com/myfamily/silhouettes/silhouettefamily.swf" flashvars="t1=The Bernard Family&pv1=0&pn1=6&px1=251.55&pf1=1&pv2=0&pn2=22&p x2=186.8&pf2=0&pv3=0&pn3=12&px3=305.85&pf3=1&pv4=1 &pn4=9&px4=278.8&pf4=0&pv5=1&pn5=3&px5=226.8&pf5=1 &pv6=0&pn6=1&px6=102.8&pf6=1&pv7=1&pn7=24&px7=317. 8&pf7=1" quality="high" wmode="transparent" name="My Family Silhouettes" allowscriptaccess="samedomain" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer" align="middle" height="230" width="500">

Some stores are sticklers, on coupons. but you should be able to use one coupon per item, unless it is buy 2 get 5 off or something like that , hang in there you are young and that is great my 2 kids in their 20's, im sure dont use coupons that much. I took a box over to my sons the other night full of cleaning supplies which i paid $18 something for as opposed to $40 regular. he just moved out a few months ago. See you will get better as time goes by hang in you will get better. I have used coupons for years.

Hey lynnie, sorry to hear about your experience. I wish I could have advised about coupons but couldn't due to my own inexperience. Sounds like you sorta jumped in the deep end.. which is brave of you... I'm a chicken when it comes to trying too many new things at once.
And even if all your coupons had worked then you still might not have gotten the bonus points because as you probably heard, SDM seems to have clamped down on what you could buy for this bonus deal now. It really was JUST cosmetics and fragrances I guess. Just be more careful and keep trying. As I said before, in few years I'll bet it will be me coming to you for advice.

Sorry Lynnie to hear about your SDM hassles! I know first hand how one SDM made me almost stop using coupons. But really what they made me do was get more ammo and continue saving money!! By the way is this by any chance the SDM at Fairview Mall?

Nope, not Fairview
I Love you; not for what you are, but for what I am when I am with you.

I've been helping my Mum and Dad with couponing since I was 16.My Mum likes sales but she would wait until she ran out of something then buy it then have to buy it at regular price lots of times.Got tired of her moaning about things being on sale last week especially Tide.I said buy ahead and stock up when on sale use coupons. She said coupons don't save money even though she had a drawer full of coupons she woud forget about them.I gave her coupons then I wrote down every coupon she redeemed then after a year presented her with the total then she realized the money savings of coupons.I never expected her to buy anything we wouldn't buy anyway.I still buy them stuff on sale with coupons too.She always says keep an eye out for this or that on sale.Sometimes I buy her stuff and she says you shouldn't have bothered then when she runs out of it she's looking for more of it at that cheap price.Just keep at it Lynnie.
