So, I'm not going to post ALL my deals for the weekend (I'll post the rest tonight) ... my receipts are at home, and I'm working already. But THIS one, I had to share ...
DD & I were at RCSS yesterday (I'm teaching her about couponing - she's already confessed that she loves saving money with coupons, but the only time she'll use them is when she shops with me. I think I'll be taking her shopping a couple times a month from now on! LOL) ANYHOW, the Aveeno Body Washes (the new ones; fig & shea butter, rice beads & pomegranate, etc) are on sale for $5 each, and there's the $2 RCSS flyer coupon this week.
I put 1 body wash into DD's basket, with the flyer coupon and one of my $2 mftr coupons, and put 2 into my own basket ... I had 2 more mftr coupons, and 1 flyer coupon for those two, since the flyer coupon says ONE per customer. I thought 'okay, 3 Aveenos for $5, pretty awesome.'
DD runs her stuff through before me at the till, and the cashier is all kinds of impressed at her use of coupons (she got about $80 worth of stuff for just over $20), and DD says "just wait 'til you see my MOM'S coupons!" LOL
So, the cashier starts running through my order, and gets to the Aveenos ... she takes the 2 mftr cpns, and the 1 flyer coupon, and asks me if I have another flyer coupon, 'since you have 2 Aveenos'. I told her the coupon said ONE per customer, so I didn't grab a second one ... she reached over to a stack of flyers beside her, pulls out an Aveeno coupon, and took that off my order, too!
She told me that almost no-one uses the coupons, and "they might as well be used, since we printed them!"
Long story short (yeah, kinda too late!
), I got 3 Aveeno body washes for $3!!! Woo. Hoo.

Fab! Great way to teach the value of money! Good for you and your DD! And so nice of the cashier to do that, I wish there were more like her...

That's such a great brag! Good for you for teaching your daughter such a wonderful life skill
Once my DD is old enough to want to 'shop' for herself (she's just 3 right now) I will definitely be passing on my coupon & saving knowledge as well!

I've never tried using both store and manufacturer coupons at RCSS before, haven't had anything that I've wanted to buy, but it's a good idea if they accept it.

Super great brag! My son is embarassed when I use coupons. He was with me at WM yesterday. I open my coupon book and start shuffling. He says "I don't know you" and proceeds to step away from me about 10 feet. lol oh well, if he only new the money that I save. Oh well, my DD is impressed with what I do.
