I guess this is the right place to put this... my 3 year old nephew has all the construction equipment toys (Mighty Machines as he calls them!) and knows the difference between a bulldozer and a Skid Steer (he will tell you if you call it the wrong thing! *LOL*).
Last weekend he said he was "building a road" at our campsite. He dug out the dirt and we gave him rice for gravel.....
What we need is the mini traffic cones to protect the construction site! I have looked at Zellers and Wal Mart and tried the search feature at Toys R Us with no luck. Though I am going to try and phone our local Toys R Us too, I thought my fellow SC'ers might have knowledge of where to find them, either at a store or online! I think he would just love them! Please let me know if you know where to find them!!!
THANK YOU!!!!Is it baseball season yet?

Oh, my son was the same way!
What size are you after? A size which would match with the big Tonka machines, or?
For very small ones, I got them at the Dollar Store. Anything bigger I never did see anywhere.
Wow, wish we had these when my son was young - they are 8 1/2" and just over a dollar each. It's a US site, but I've ordered from them before.

Just another idea - I'm sure guys who do remote controlled vehicles have a use for pylons when they do racing, so maybe check out a hobby store that sells that type of thing.

The 8 1/2" ones are way too big! I want the ones that would be about the same size as his toy trucks (like the size of Hot Wheels Cars etc.) You said you can get the tiny ones at the dollar store? Never thought of there! I just called Toys R Us and they do not have them she said... I guess the ones that I want are like ohhhh say 1 or 2" high???

Yup, then try some sort of dollar store. There are usually little bags of cheap construction pieces, with pylons and signs.

Well I went to five different dollar stores in Brantford and the only ones they had were about 6 inches high and were $1.25 each and had sayings on them.
If anyone can find them and let me know how much they are, where you are and how much it would be to ship them to me, I would seriously consider doing that. I think he would just love them but can't find them anywhere!
Please PM me if you can help me out!
