thrift stores and...........OMG my mom got me a car

ok so my van has been out of service since july.....so i borrow a vehicle or send my kids for what i need...it has worked out well so far

today i took the bus to town..5 mins..lol
1st thrift store

wonderbra my size..new....$2
joe boxer pj pant for my kid...$2
disney store pooh and tigger sweatshirt...$2
disney store princess sweatshirt...$2.....both like new
fancy CK jeans for my 4yr old DD...$1
liz claiborne shirt/jacket thing...lol...$1
liz claiborne grey leather sholder bag...$6...need a new purses and i will use it as the "basket" for all my free goodies the kids are giving me for x-mas...bonus
handheld game or my kid for carrying bags...lol...$1

total $17.12

2nd thrift store...st vincent de paul

long sleeved v-neck shirt $1
4x6 woven x-mas rug...$5..green tag 50% off...$2.50
5 pc woven x-mas place mats....$2.50 set
4 lg x-mas stockings....$1 each
2 small stockings...$.50 each...for pets
2 tree ornements...$.50 ea...mom light up and santa
1 figurine santa and a raindeer for my village...$.50
wicker 1 ft long wicker sleigh...$1.50

had a $10 off frequent shopper card...get 10 stamps get $10 off

so total was $5 and change with tax

and in the housewares annex of the 1st store i got some treasures

6 mini spoons....silver comemorative ones..3 noel 77,78,80 and an alberta,centenial,and canada one....10 cents each..well worth their weight.......literally


then i get home and get a message to phone my mom

she said her neighbour just got a new car and sold her her old one so she is giving it to me for x-mas.....sooooooo excited

Unbelievable. Our second vehicle died earlier this year.(a van) I would be absolutely thrilled if I were in your shoes. We are doing ok without it though and saving gas. Great brag!
