Public speaking coach in Toronto

I have a huge fear of speaking in front of other people and I have to do one at the end of September for my class. My teacher recommend me to find a public speaking coach so they can help me prepare for it and actually get a good mark.

I have found a few different ones in Toronto, but they all seem way over priced. Just curious if anyone had the same issue as me and if they hired someone to help them?

I'm not from TO, but I'd sure contact someone with Toastmasters (there must be zillions of the chapters in a city that big) - and have them recommend someone - it's a very short timeline. Try find one in your area.

Go and speak to your local politician, I spoke to a group of them several years ago and my nervousness was obvious, a few of them sat down with me after and gave me some great tips (and not the imagine them nekkid type)

Good luck Michelle, I hope you can get over your fear ! I had this fear in school too & didn't finish high school because of it. You CAN overcome it. I wish I had been able to talk to someone then, maybe things would've been different. Talking about your fear will help! Toastmasters sounds like a good idea. Isn't it free?
