Thread: Marking Threads Read
-
Sat, Sep 11th, 2010, 12:47 PM #1
I know there was something posted years ago about this, but it didn't answer my question.
I am going through the contests and freebies and I want to make sure I don't enter the same ones over. Is there anyway when I am in the Contest or freebie forums that I can mark each individual thread as read so I don't waste my time trying to figure out which is which?
Does this make sense? This thread is currently associated with: N/ARemember that even though pets are here for such a short time they teach us things we would never be able to learn in many lifetimes on our own.

the best way is to reply to it so it shows a check mark, otherwise every time someone replies to it it will show as new again

Also, if you give it a thumbs up it will show green that you gave it a thumbs up.
And if you gave the OP a rep, if you try again it will say you already gave them a rep

When you reply to a thread, it subscribes you to it.
When viewing the forum, if you are subscribed to a thread there will be a checkmark visible. It will also appear in your "subscribed threads" in your user CP. I'll post pictures in a couple minutes

The checks circled in red are examples of threads I have replied to. If you reply to a thread you should see the same:
If you want to see a compiled list of all the threads you've replied to click User CP as shown below and it'll take you to a list of subscribed threads and reps:
Hope this helped and I understood what you meant. Good luck

You may have turned off subscriptions so the checkmark on the left of the thread will tell you that you have replied rather than the subscribed one
