I bought the Barbie Dream Townhouse from Zellers about 2 weeks ago (November 20th) for 169.99 . I just saw it in their upcoming new flyer for 139.99. If I go in with my receipt, will they match the price for me?
I guess I could just return it and re-buy it but I would rather not lug the heavy box with me lol.

Just wanted to say, that I went to Zellers this morning , only to be told that I had 10 days to bring my bill in and they could match the price, it had been 14 so I havd to bring it in, return it and buy it at the lower price. I was pissed, but I got back the difference, I said that was a really stupid policy. Anyways, just wanted to let you all know.

Could you not buy one that was on the shelf and then return it with the older receipt? Canadian Tire tried to tell me I had missed the price adjustment timeline but I noticed I could still return it. I pointed this out and asked if they wanted to just do the price adjustment or go through the whole rigormaroll (is that spelled right?) They opted to call a manager and just do the adjustment.

I could have, but they had none, that I could see anyways. SO I had no choice but to go home and get it and bring iti back. Oh well I guess I got my money back anyways, so its not too bad, still a pretty silly policy though.

I had the same thing happen to me last Christmas, except it was a play kitchen I had bought that went on sale 2 weeks later for $100 less than what I paid!!!!

It was a super huge box and we live 45 minutes away so I took in my receipt & they told me the same thing. I told the CS I wasn't leaving without my $100+ as I was not driving 45 minutes back home & then 45 minutes back to the store as it would cost me a fortune in fuel and it was ridiculous to ask me to do so. She said she wouldn't do it, so I told her not to go anywhere, that I'd be right back. I went back to the toy isle, picked out the same kitchen brought it to the CS desk and told her I wanted to buy it. She looked at me funny but rang it through & handed me my receipt. I then took out my other receipt & told her that I now wanted to return the kitchen. All she could do was laugh "nice loophole".....she processed the 'return' and I got my $100+ back without having to do all the driving

BFMAMA that is awesome! What a great idea!!!!
Most have a 14 day policy on price adjustments, but yep most likely after that they want u to return and buy it back which is a pita, and deters most people from wanting to do so.
That said a year ago i bought a bbq at Zehrs and they reminded me of the 2 weeks. 5 days later it was an extra 100 off so I went to grab the reciept to get the difference except for I couldn't find the reciept.......
So i had to go through 2 garbage bags in the dead heat of the summer ewwy only to find out I had crumpled it up and threw it out. Lmao. Some antibacterial later I got my 114 (*taxes too) back.

Earlier this year my Zellers told me I have 30 days for a price adjustment. I guess I should check to see if that's changed.
