This weekend I had such a busy schedule but I really wanted to go shopping and thought I would try to squeeze shopping in between errands, well I felt so disorganized with my coupons and pressured with my time that I'd just about given up using coupons all together. But thank goodness that was just a passing moment. Here is how my shopping trips went, I had to do some exchanges though (again people at London Drugs are so nice), but my savings are:

    Zellers
    - Tried to PM the Glade Diffuser that Safeway had on sale for $2.99 but because it was a club price, they would not match it. (My first attempt at price matching and I failed)
    - Flintstone Vitamins with raincheck of $3.99. Bought 2 and used $2.00 coupon = $3.00 each

    LD
    - Dove body wash $2.99 x 4 less $6.00 = $1.49 each
    - VH Sauce $2.94 x 2 less $3.40 coupons = $1.25 each
    - Dove shampoo $2.99 x 4 - $7.00 coupons = $1.24 each
    - Febreze Luminaires $13.99 x 2 less $20.00 coupons = $3.99 each

    Save-on Foods
    - St. Ives Hand Cream 60ml - $1.29 less $1 coupon = .29 I bought 8

    Safeway
I saw the Glade Diffuser advertised on sale for $2.99, drove a bit out of my way to get to a Safeway to specifically get these, while the lady was ringing it in the sub-total came to something like $60 and I said that these items are on sale but she reassured me that I just need to give her my Safeway card and the discounts will show up, uhm no it didn't. I asked her what did it ring up as and she said it was $8 something. I pulled out my flyer and showed her the sale there was even a picture of the diffuser along with candle refills and tins. They tried to tell me that it was on selected items. Told her if that was the case why did it include the picture of my item if it was not for that price. (This was my last trip and I was just plummed tired) So she gave it to me at $2.99 each for all 6 that I bought, I also told her that I had $1.00 off coupon for each as well. I got them for $1.99 each. While driving home I thought that I would send receipt in for 3 x $5.00 PC gift card but when I got home, I noticed that she scanned the diffusers as General Merchandise so I don't think that I would be able to send receipt and collect this.

The highlight of my safeway trip was that there were oodles of coupons which I grabbed some. There was a pile of $1 off of Scrubbing Bubbles / Fantastic / Windex. Got home and found that they expired October 2009, like ??? why do they have them out.

    Phew!! Rest Time...

Don't you have to buy the Glade at Superstore to get the PC gift card.

You wouldn't have been able to send away for the PC gift card anyways, safeway is not a loblaw banner store. (only superstore, no frills, loblaws, etc)

oh that's interesting b/c over the weekend at Zellers i found those same $1 off of Scrubbing Bubbles/Fantastic/Windex coupons that have an expiry date of October 2009 -- what's up with that?! will the store actually accept them? there were two whole pads out -- why would they put them out otherwise?
