Sorry to hear about the kids fighting. But at that age, they'll be best buddies tomorrow.
Sounds like an interesting mix. Haven't really spent enough time with either Chihuahuas or Doxies to know how they think (& each dog is unique, anyway). I do know Doxies can be too smart for their own good. Is it Tick who's the resident Doxie expert? Please chime in.
Couple of questions to ask the seller:
How old is the puppy?
Why are they rehoming - did they have a litter or does the pup have issues they don't want to deal with (just cause the previous owner has issues doesn't mean there's a problem with the dog)
When you go to see the dog (don't hand over any $ before you get to see the puppy!), make sure his/her eyes are clear & bright. If you can see where the dog is sleeping/living, see how clean the place is - if there's diarrhea, it can be a problem (maybe worms which are easy to treat, maybe something more serious). You want a healthy puppy, you don't want health issues from the start.
Make an appt with a vet for when you go to pick up the pup. You want to have the pup checked before you get him/her home. Better to let the vet deal with fleas than try to get them out of your house.
Vaccines - if the pup needs more than 1 shot (depending on age), try to get them done a week apart. Some dogs have reactions to shots. Also, don't give pup a big meal - food a couple hours before or a couple hours after.
Other doggy people, please chime in if there's anything I forgot (or you have a diff opinion - the more info the better)!
I've got the same name - Andit - but really don't like FB, so am rarely on it.
When I was young, b-day parties consisted of my parents inviting their friends over. & I never got to have chocolate cake - we always had this rum punch torte, cause that's what the adults wanted. Didn't start having b-day parties with kids til I was a teen.
The weirdest one was when I was 12 - my friend was having a sleepover b-day party. Her older brother (17), used to teach us lyrics to naughty songs, among other things. At the time, seances were popular, so we dug out the oiuji board. We turned out all the lights. Her mom snuck outside while we were in the basement, spied through the open window & banged on the window at just the right time. This 1 girl, who was a bit odd (& I was considered the odd one ), started screaming & wouldn't stop for 15 minutes. When she finally ran out of breath, she wanted to get away from the evil house. Even after my friend's mom explained she banged on the window, she wouldn't stay. The rest of us spent the night feeling bad we'd scared her (we thought the banging was fun!). It took months before she would talk to us again.
Me too please!
Congrats to the winners! I was asking Aph what we're gonna do for fun now that the contest is over??? Or does NS' promotion mean she has to keep us in line?
I was flipping channels earlier & they had a documentary on burlesque. Really interesting, apparently it started when a dancer wasn't able to change into her costume quickly enough & had to improvise on stage. The documentary had this one very talented girl who ended her routine by picking up a martini, lying on the floor, balancing the glass on her head, then picking it up with her legs, placing it behind her while doing a backwards somersault, then standing behind it. I've seen Cirque, but they never did anything like this. Wow! Wish I'd taped it (& remembered what station I was watching ). Can't seem to find it in the listings, I think it was put on in place of a diff show.
On a completely diff topic, has anyone had problems logging into SC today? I've been kicked off a few times today, & unable to access the site. Rebooted my computer a few times & cleared cookies, temp files, etc. Maybe cause I was using yahoo at the same time? Any ideas? Or is it revenge for what I did to the brats today?
Has everyone entered the SC contests? $10gc for funniest post (ends tonight at midnight est). I entered my sig pic with the caption: "No, no, I said dress like an EASTER bunny."
Got to start getting in the Easter mood. The dog keeps stealing the plastic eggs to take to her bed & the cat has decided that the basket is his new bed (even though he's getting a bit big for it). Brats!
Hope everyone has a good night.

OK I miss way to much when I go away!! New siggies and what is this with Rose jumping Firemen?? Andit is dressing the dog in a bathing suit?? One of these days that dog is going to get you back!!
NS lives in a Cat House??
Did Aph find her pussy? How could she lose that?? Did you find the kitty yet? I am only on page 1759, and I haven't seen if you found her or not.
I have given rep where I could.
Love all the new siggies.
BBL to read more, but I need to do some work now.

Good morning everyone!!
Congrats to the winners on Aphena's contest. I did vote, but I think I forgot to say so.
Off to the dreaded doctor today to get Tyler is 1 year shots. Ugha. Not looking forward to that at all!! Then, I get my prenatal physical. Ugha. Not looking forward to that either. Mom is coming to help me out, though, so it should be okay. At least the walking terror won't get into any trouble while I'm *ahem* preoccupied.

soo...i called my mom this am, and i think i royally pissed her off...
now my mom, will go on and on and on about everything she ate, did for the past week, longer if she remembers. she likes to hold u captive on the phone. so when she runs out of things to say, she pauses and says...
NOW WHAT WAS I GOING TO SAY?
while she frantically racks her brain for something ...
so I said, (really polietly mind you)
well... when u remember you can always call me back?
hello? hello???
i think she slammed up on me?
